CHAPTER 16

LISA POV

"DON'T LEAVE LISAYAH!" Jennie keeps on repeating the same words over and over again

"I-I won't leave Nini" I kiss her forehead and hug her tighter when I realize that her body is hot "Yah! Oh my god Nini! You're sick!" I quickly get up then check her temperature with my hands. She's burning hot!

"N-no L-lisa..." Jennie holds my arm

"Stay there! Don't move" I remove her grasp and run towards her bathroom and get a damped towel. I run back to her room and gently lay her down, I start wiping her body

"I'm fine Lili"

"Quiet! You're not" I continue wiping her body and put another damped towel on her forehead

"C-can I hug you Lili?" Jennie looks at me after I wipe her body again

"You don't need to ask" I quickly sit down and give her a hug. That's when she starts crying and I can feel her hands gripping tightly on my shirt

"Wh-what happened Nini?"

"I-I a-lmost got raped"

"Huh? Bu-" I suddenly stop when I remember how I saw her crying at my condo, soaked and her dinner with that fucking pervert dog "WAIT! You should be at dinner with Kai!" I get up "That bastard! I'm going to teach him a lesson later" I hissed then walk my way to Jennie's closet and grab her clothes "I'll take care of you first"

"Lili~" Jennie calls out. I came back in and hand her some clothes

"Can you wear it by yourself?" I worriedly ask and I'm glad she can. I turn around while I wait for her to finish

"What happened?" I coldly ask

"W-we were going to have dinner right?" Jennie started and I just nod "I w-waited for him Lisa! I waited! But he never came!" Jennie shouts in pain which made me close my fist harder and clench my jaw

"Th-then i-it started raining...." Jennie starts to breath heavily "I w-was on m-my way to y-your condo b-but th-then these m-men ca-ca-" Jennie didn't finish and she was already having a hard time breathing. I quickly turn around and I'm glad she's all dressed up

"Shhhhhh~ Stop Nini, breathe with me" I sit infront of her then let her look at me and guide her to inhale and exhale

After sometime, she was breathing normally again. I give her a small smile then hold both of her hands when I saw a bruised on her wrist. I clench my jaw and was on the verge of crying "You good now? Do saw the face of those guys? Why didn't you call me?"

"I-I d-don't want to disturb y-you L-lili~ Besides I manage t-to escape" Jennie looks down

"Still Jennie! I can't Jennie!" I shake my head and my tears were already falling continuously "I c-can't forgive myself if s-something happened to you Nini. I c-can't"

"Lili~" Jennie cups my face and wipe my tears "I'm fine, see?" Jennie giggles but it was obviously a fake one

"Still! I'm sorry, I wasn't there Nini. I should've accompanied you but don't worry that won't happen again because as long as you are with me, you are safe" I smile and kiss her forehead then pull her in for a hug

"I h-hate him" Jennie sobs and buries her face on my chest

"Shhhhhhh~ I'm here Nini. I will protect you forever" I rub her back and kiss her forehead multiple times

"I love you" She mumbles. I smile slightly then look down. She has fallen fast asleep

"Yeah, yeah, love you too" I pat her back and lay her down on her bed. I check on her temperature first then fix her things before I carry the tray of food and leave her room

"Hey aunty~" I smile and place the tray "Jendueki is sick and she hasn't ate yet but I'll make sure she will eat and drink meds when she's awake" I smile

"Arasso~ thank you Lisayah" Aunty smiles and pinch my cheeks "Can I leave you here Lisa? I need to go to the office"

"Oh come on Aunty, aren't you used to seeing me and Jennie alone in your house?" I ask in disbelief

"I was teasing you Lali!" Aunty laughs and pats my head "This is your home too remember that ok?"

"Yes Aunty" I smile

"JENNIE IS SICK?! MY BABY NEEDS ME!" Me and Aunty flinch when we saw Kai shouting. He puts the groceries down and leaves but before he can, I grab his collar and punch him hard

"LALISA!"

"What Aunty?! He was the reason why your daughter is sick! She was soaked under the rain and was almost raped because this asshole made her wait" I hissed and glare at Kai, gripping his collar tighter

"WHAT?!"

"E-eomma, please I was just stucked in traffic!" Kai swallows a lump in his throat. I scoff and punch him again

"You plan to meet by 7:30 but you made her wait for 2 hours!" I shout and by anytime now, I will finally explode which will possibly let this dog end up in the hospital

"Lisa! Calm down! Kai leave first!" Aunty holds my arm and pulls me away from Kai

"Eomm-"

"Are you deaf?!" I punch him before he talks. Kai looks down and leaves

"I'm sorry for that Aunty, he deserves it. Let me handle everything" I smile and kiss her cheeks "You need to go to the office right?"

"Alright thank you Lisa, you kid don't punch him alright?" Aunty smiles slightly and leaves

JENNIE POV

"LALISA!" I was awaken when I heard some loud voices. I can probably hear mom and Lisa shouting. I quickly get up despite of how heavy my feeling is when a phone rings. I frown because I don't have a phone.

"Where did that came from?" I look around and found Lisa phone. I grab it and saw her secretary, Jae-hwan calling

"Hello Jae?" I answer the call

"Miss Manoban! I just want to remind your flight to Hong kong and I found you a good place to stay there so don't-"

"Flight? Hong kong? Place to stay? Jae what's happening?" I frown and sit on my bed fighting the dizziness that I'm feeling
