Chapter 2: Princess Day Off

It's a beautiful day at Versailles ,in Veronica's room she was getting ready for the day "Alright I'm ready to start the day," Veronica said with a smile and she leaves her bedroom. The people of Versailles see Veronica and bow "Good morning Princess," They said to her "Good morning everyone," Veronica said smiling while walking down the hall to go outside. When Veronica was about to open the door to the outside she sees Madame de Montespan's reflection in the door

"Good morning your Highness," she said and bows "Good morning Madame de Montespan," Veronica said looking at her. Montespan looks at Veronica "I don't mean to be rude your highness but you're not in royal clothes," she said looking at Veronica's dress "Well today is my day off as you can see I decided to wear this instead of a Royal gown," Veronica said and goes outside to the garden. While Veronica was walking around the garden she hears her name being called "Veronica, Veronica," Said the voice it's was Fabian calling her "Good morning Princess," He said smiling "Good morning Fabian," Veronica said smiling back at  Fabian. Fabian asked Veronica "So how does it feel to be back in France for so long," Veronica looks at Fabian "It feels strange to me I don't know France very well Fabian," Veronica said sitting down on a bench, Fabian sits beside Veronica "Do you still remember what I said to you when you left for England," Fabian asked Veronica nods her head "Yes, I do remember you said When you return from England I will protect you," Veronica said smiling at Fabian and Fabian smiles back "Now let's head back before your brothers start worrying," Fabian said getting up "Ok let's go," Veronica said following Fabian. Veronica makes it back to her room and Mary walks up to Veronica "The Queen would like to see you in her room and your Brother the King is there to," Mary said Veronica walks towards the Queens rooms and Mary follows her, When Veronica walks into the room

"Welcome your highness," Said the Queen's ladies in waiting. Louis sees Veronica "Sister there you are you look adventurous today," Louis said Veronica smiles "Thank you Brother," Veronica said walks towards Maria Theresa and smiles at her "Hello sister is the baby making you unwell," Veronica asks Maria Theresa "A little bit sister but I hope it's a boy," Said Maria looking up at Veronica. When Veronica and Mary left the Queen's room Veronica sees Philippe and Chevalier talking

"Do you really think is a good time to tell your sister the Princess of France that you like men and I'm your lover," Chevalier asked Philippe. "I'm afraid that she might shut me out," Philippe said and sees Veronica walking towards him "Sister I'm happy to see you," Philippe said smiling at Veronica "Good afternoon Princess you look lovely today," Chevalier said Veronica blushes. "Hello boys so it seems you want to tell me something," Veronica said. Veronica takes Philippe and Chevalier to her bedroom and Mary brings out some tea "Thank you Mary," Veronica said taking her cup and The men take their cups "So brother what do you want to tell me," Veronica asked looking at Philippe. Philippe puts his cup down and looks at his sister "Sweet Veronica my little sister as you know I'm married to Henrietta but the real thing that I want to tell you is I have taken a lover it's not a woman it's a man it's Chevalier," Philippe said looking at Veronica. Veronica puts her cup down "I'm happy for you brother," Veronica said and Philippe gets up and hugs Veronica "Thank you sister I love you," Philippe said and Veronica hugs him back.
