All the students and staff were asleep, except two, Astrid Claire, and Regulus Black. They were in the astronomy tower, as this has become a regular occurrence for the pair ever since they found out they were going to be parents.
"What gender do you think the baby will be?" She asked Regulus, he took a while to respond as he didn't care about the gender, he just wanted a healthy baby.
Before Regulus could respond, she said something that shocked him but didn't show it "I think after I have the baby, I'm going to leave my house" He wanted to ask why, but he knew it wasn't his place to ask as if Astrid was reading his mind, she told him why "I can tell you're wondering why... Well, my father would most likely disown me for having a child out of wedlock for him, it will be a disgrace to the family name so I might as well leave before he could disown me, and I could probably take some money before I leave. . . after all, I'm the heiress of the Claire and Castle family, nobody would question it. And don't worry. . .you could still see the baby, I won't stop you"
"Regulus... I want you to promise me something, if anything happens to me, promise me you'll take care of the child and be the best father you can"
"Astrid nothing is going happen to you"
"But still if anything happens I want you to be there. just promise me please"
"Ast-"
"Promise me Regulus"
"I promise"
"Thank you"
After finishing that conversation, Regulus couldn't help but stare at her. He always thought that Astrid Claire was the most beautiful girl in the world, he couldn't help but fall in love with her over time, but he knew that she would never love him. After all, the only reason they talk to each other is because they're having a child together.
As if she felt someone staring at her she turned to look at Regulus but he quickly averted his eyes to her stomach "You know you can touch" A little hesitant, Regulus slowly raised his hand to touch her stomach but felt the baby kick him "The baby kicked... does it hurt?"
"Sometimes. . . only when they kick hard"
"Is the charm uncomfortable?"
"Sometimes but I got used to it"
"How far along is Narcissa?" Astrid asked Regulus
"7 months"
"Have you thought about who you want the godparents to be?"
"No, have you?"
"I think Mary should be the godmother"
Before they could continue the conversation, they heard footsteps approaching them "Do you have your wand?" Regulus asks her. Astrid already knew that she had to put the charm on, it was too risky for someone to find out that she was pregnant. "Yeah I'll put the charm on right now"
