Chapter 5 == The Princess' Birthday Pt. 2 ==

"As expected Lady Amelia Silverton is much more suited to be the prince's wife"

"From looks to skills, she had nothing she couldn't do"

I heard people murmur loudly for me to hear after seeing the Prince who was dancing with Sister Amelia

Which didn't appear in the book...

Neither once they dance together because our family banned them from contacting the imperial family after my death

I quietly stood in the side, not minding everyone what they think of my opinion regarding my sister's relationship with my ex-fiance

Someone suddenly said, I turned to look up and saw the Archduchess who was invited to the birthday

"The party ain't much of your taste either Archduchess?"I ask her in a very intelligent way making her raise her right brow questioning whether she heard it wrong or not

"You are not wrong about that....but it seems that a little bird told me that the Silverton golden-eyed princess knows how to play chess" I froze hearing the whispered words of the Archduchess

So that young man I encountered was one of the Archduke's men?

"Chess? Are you sure that you are not mistaken?"I stared in disbelief, I could see the mysterious smile she gave me making me feel curious

"You seem not shocked when that small company immediately gave you 5 moonstones....and our family is the biggest supplying company" She whispered again as I smiled lightly

"That's not me Archduchess, Why would a lady like me know how to play one?"I asked her as she smiled lightly at me

"There are people who are way more mysterious than our myths and somehow those people include you Alyssa...even I often question myself whether I knew you or not," she told me as she drank some wine

When she said mysterious people....one thing or one person came into my mind

The handsome young man who is not a commoner who I've defeated in chess

In this world, Chess is like the item that can prove whether you're intelligent or not The master you play the more intelligent you become

And that young man is no joke when I've encountered him

"You are not wrong about that, because I often question whether I know my own identity or not" I responded as she chuckled lightly

"I love to talk with you more....but it seems that you have company, Lady Alyssa," she told me as I turned to look and saw the Young Marquis of Letricia walking towards our direction

"A pleasant good evening Archduchess and Lady Alyssa Silverton" he greeted us with a smile

Allan Jay Letricia....the 19-year-old man who was appointed as Marquis when he was just 17 because his father died

A young bachelor who rivaled the Prince in good looks and talents, especially how the two of them were under father to train with swords
