The City and the Island.

When I was young, I look at the city at night
The lights there shine just like a starlight
I saw the cars and buildings everywhere.
I said someday, I will l live there.

Now I'm an adult who works in the city.
Exactly how my young self wants me to stay.
But why is it feels so feels so empty.
Missing my island home where I used to be happy.

In the city they clothed you with pride
Everyone is busy and has something to hide
Crimes, noise and the angry strangers
Look behind for the fear of dangers

Here I am, reminiscing the island.
I remember the beach and the beautiful sand.
The sound of the waves, the stars and the moon.
Life there was so simple
But the nights are calm and peaceful.

My young self may not understand
The beautiful scenery of my home island
But now I finally come to understand
The beauty is when you have the peace of mind.
