"Miss Aliyu, you may come in now" The Receptionist said to me
I raised up my head from my phone and Smiled at her
"Thank you" I said, I carried my Black Louis Vuitton hand bag and stood up, I adjusted my black palazzo that I was wearing with a white turtleneck and my Slides, I walked to the front of the office, lord I so much Despise this office, the office where my mom was divorced, the office where I had to make the most stupid decision because of one person, my father, I opened the door and stood at the entrance,
"Yes Mr Aliyu, you called me all the way from school" I folded my arms
"Oh Asaal you're here, welcome my dear" he said
I rolled my eyes at him and hissed
"Come and sit down close to Mr Nurain and his Father" He said
"And if I don't?" I asked
"You know well what I'm capable of" he smiled
I sighed and closed the door and went to his table and sat down close to The Mr Nurain and his father was on his other side
"Sooo I will want you to meet your new companion, Nurain Dansari" My father said
"Huh? I don't understand new companion" i said
"You didn't go to school for nothing, He's your new husband" He said
"Ban gane new husband?!( I don't understand new husband) I'm just 18!" I shouted
"That's even better, you're 18 and that's the perfect age to get married-
"Afrah too is 18, why isn't she getting married?" I asked
"Afrah isn't ready" he said
"And you think I'm ready?! Just say you and that my stupid stepmother at home don't want me there anymore!" I shouted
"Asaal you shall not argue with me, Go home and pack your stuff in thirty minutes your new husband and his 2 brothers will be coming to pick you" he said
I stood up with my Hand bag turned around about to leave his office
"And this attitude you have of leaving your hair open shall no longer continue, you're married now" I heard my father say
I walked of his office with tears in my eyes and went to the car park and told the driver to take me home, when we finally got home, I quickly entered the house and ran upstairs to the room I shared with my step sister Afrah
"Asaal whats wrong?" She asked
"Isn't it not that your father" i muttered out loudly while heading to where my boxes and clothes were
"Calm down, what did he do?" She asked following me
"He literally got me married to some guy I barely know, worst part was it was without my consent!" I cried
Afrah paused and from her face I could see she was shocked
"That's to soon, is he crazy?" Afrah said
"I don't even know" i said
Then suddenly we heard clapping at our backs and laughing, we turned around and saw My step mother
"Mama this isn't a good time for-
"I know, isn't it not me that put her in this condition, now and forever won't be good for her, stupid girl" She said
"You stupid-
"Ya Asaal, some guys are here to pick you up" My other step sister Nadia said at the door
"You see your in-laws are here to pick you, Hurry up" she wickedly smiled and left our room
I sat down on my bed and started crying, lord what type of life is this, where is my mother when all this is happening? Even my older brothers aren't here to protect me from this witch
"Afrah what do I do now?" I cried
"Just be praying everyday okay? You'll will definitely find a way out, okay?" She said
I looked at her and hugged her tightly
"Now stand up, they are waiting for you" She said
She went to her cupboard and gave me her black abaya and veil to wear on top of my clothes, she helped me pack some stuff atleast my bags, shoes, cosmetics and some clothes, we both went downstairs and I saw Two other guys standing with the Nurain guy, I hugged everyone except my step mother and left the house and entered a black GMC, I was at the back seat with one of Nurains brothers and he was at the front seat with another of his brother I guess, the car was so quiet so i just decided to use my phone.
"Hi, I'm Sultan" the one at the back with me finally said
"Hi" I simply said
"What's your name?" He asked
"Asaal" I said
"Just Asaal?" he asked
"Aisha Asaal" I said with my head still in my phone
"Oh, how old are you?" He asked
"18" I said
"I'm 19" he said
I put my head up and looked at him
"What did you say your name was?" I asked
"Sultan" he said
"Nice meeting you sultan, it looks like we would get along, unlike someone in the front" I said
Then the older brother infront cleared his throat
"I'm Faruk" he finally says
"Ohhh, you sound familiar, Have we met?" I asked
"I met you and your sister I think last month at a party here in Abuja" he said
"Oh Faruk Dansari, explains" I said
"And you're Aisha" he said
"I'm Asaal, no one calls me Aisha" I said
"But that's your name" he said
"That's my mothers name" I said
"Ohh" he said
Then we finally arrived at a mansion that had a white gate, we entered inside and I got down from the car while some helps came to take my stuff from the car, I walked into the house and I saw like 4 girls sitting in the living room
"Ihsan, presenting Yaya's wife" Sultan said
"Oh My God!!!! You must be Asaal! Hi I'm Ihsan, Nurains younger sister" She said
"I think I've met you before" I said
"We're in the same university, Baze" she said
"Ahhh that's true" I said
"Ihsan, you can go out with your friends, Faruk will take you" A woman said coming down the stairs, I suppose that's Nurains mom
"Hello Asaal, I'm Nurains mom, i know this is the most improper introduction, but make your self at home, your personal house help, Amina will help you with whatever you want" she said
"Thank you so much Nurains mom" i said
"No, I'm now your mother, call me Mama or Umma" she said
I gave her a weak smile and my personal house help which I suppose her name is Amina helped me with my stuff to my room
"Ma, if you want anything don't hesitate to call me" she said
I nodded my head and she left the room and closed the door, I opened my box and changed out my current clothes to a beige tank top and black shorts, I switched on the the Air conditioner and put my phone and laptop to charge and slept.

💳Nurain💳
So wait, I'm married?, I'm a married man now?!! Now no more partying and stuff I'm now married, wait does that mean she has to stay in my room, no she's just 18, I can't stay in a room with her, anytime I close my eyes all I can think about is her silky black hair and her crying face
"Yaya, it's time for Dinner" Sultan said at the door
"Sure I'm coming" i said
"Umma said you should also come with Asaal" he said
"Sure" I said
I looked at my watch and it was already six-thirty, I put on my White Jalabiya and left my room and went to the room next to mine, Asaals room, I knocked on her door but she didn't answer, I knocked again but no answer, I gently opened the door and saw her sleeping
"Asaal" i said
She didn't answer me, I went closer to her and tapped her, she opened her eyes and looked at me and quickly covered her whole body with her duvet
"Sorry to disturb you, dinners ready"i said
"Thank you" she said
I faced her mirror and and waited for her to stand up, when she stood up she still looked at me
"Why are you still here?" She asked
"I have to take you to the dining room" I said
She hissed at me and stood up and started heading for the door but I dragged her by the arm
"Baby girl, you can't go out like that, my brother brought his friends over to stay here for like 2 weeks and they can't see you like this, you're married" I said
She just looked at me like she was lost
"Please don't call me Baby girl again" was all she said
Then she turned around and took out an orange hijab and put it on and we left the room together and went to the dining room to eat.
"Asaal, you'll be sitting next to Nurain" Umma said
I looked at her and she looked at me, I pulled out a chair for her and she sat down on it, then I sat down next to her and everyone ate in silence, at the dining table I noticed 2 of my brothers friends looking at Asaal, once we where done eating everyone went to pray Magrib, before Asaal entered her room I told her to come and meet me in my room after Magrib, she totally snubbed me and entered her room and I went to mine, looks like someone has an attitude. Once I was done with Magrib I heard a knock on my door
"Come in" I said
I turned around and I saw Asaal
"Ahhh so you actually listened" i said
"I'm not deaf you know" she said
"But you snubbed me" I said
"I'm sorry for showing you my actual character then" she sarcastically said
"Oh,  you normally snub people?" I asked
"If that's what you think then that's fine by me" she said
"I'll take that as a yes" I said
I stood up from my prayer mat and folded it and put in on my table
"Don't you guys have like a prayer room?" She asked
"Not opened till it's time for Ramadan" i said
"Oh" she said
"Okay so I called you here to tell you my plans for this week, next week can change" i said
"Why are you telling me?" She asked
"Cause it involves you" i said
"Sooo, tomorrow you're following me to the office-
"Why? I have school" she interrupted
"I'm taking you to school Love, and you don't have a personal driver yet" i said
"But why am I following you to the office?" She asked
"I have to introduce you to my colleagues and we have to act like we are actually happy in this marriage" i said
"Go on" she said
"And on Saturday everyone is going to Lagos well because my cousin is having his wedding something there so we have to go" i said
"Is that it?" She asked
"And oh yeah, if you're bored or something you can come to my room and watch Netflix" i said
"I have a tv in my room you know?" She said
"Ohh.. then if you're bored then you can call me and I'll send a driver in the office to come and take you anywhere" I said
"Are you done?" She asked
"I think so" i said
"Good night" she said
Then she turned around and left my room, looks like I have to study some one more often.
*****(Back at Assals house)
"Where's my Sister?!!" Umar shouted in the house
"Umar calm down" Afrah's mom said
"I don't understand calm down, you have done something to my sister and you are telling me to calm down?!" Umar shouted
"Oh, so im the villainess, everything that happens to Asaal is now me that did it" she said
"Yes, cause you are so bloody jealous of her" Umar said
"What is there to be jealous of in her?" She asked
"How will I know? Am I you? All I want is for you to Provide her" Umar said
"Look Umar I don't have your sister, and it's advisable for you to leave before your father comes back home and sees you here" She said
"Infact let me sit down on his chair" Umar said
He walked to living room and sat down on his fathers chair comfortably waiting for his ruthless father to come Back home, when he was sitting down and using his phone, his step mother came with Turaren wuta and was put it round the house mostly at Umars side then she came to his front and bent down and put her hand on his shoulders and looked him straight in the eye
"Now Umar, you shall listen to me, go-
Then Umar pushed her off and she fell down
"You bitch, you think your black magic will work on me, my wife prays for me 24/7 nothing will happen to me, if this is what you do to my father then I've caught you" Umar said
"Umar.... please... don't tell him, please" she begged
Then his phone started ringing, he saw it was his wife calling, he stood up and answered the call
"Tell your husband that I'm coming back and by the time I come back my sister should be here" Umar said
He walked out of the house and left Hajara on the floor.
