"Look at that." I point to the island where a huge temple sat

"Awesome." Kai breathed out as the ferry prepared to dock

"Let me see." Karloff stated pushing Kai

"Do you mind?" Kai asked getting into a fighting stance but stopped when chanting erupt

"Welcome to Chen's Island. The Tournament of Elements welcomes its brave fighters. Master Chen will be pleased you've returned, Sensei Garmadon." Clouse spat

"The pleasure is all mine, Clouse." My father replied getting off the ferry first

"I'm sure it is." Clouse groaned

"Definitely feeling some tension between you two." Jay stated as we all got off the ferry

"Yeah, and how is it we're on an island I've never seen on any map?" Kai questioned

"And care to explain how the face to Ninjago's most popular noodle house is secretly assembling an underground fighting tournament?" Cole asked

"Master Chen used to be a friend. Now he's a traitor. During the Serpentine Wars, Chen turned against his own kind and sided with the treacherous snakes." My father explained

"The battle you and Uncle Wu fought together in? He was an enemy?" Lloyd asked as we made our way up to the temple gate

"He used deception to divide the Elemental Masters. We barely defeated the Serpentine, and in a deal for his surrender, Chen was to never leave this island. Little did we know, he'd begin to build his criminal empire from here." My father stated

"He may have divided our ancestors, but he's not gonna divide us." Lloyd responded

"Uh...ladies first." Kai pushed us out of the way for the ponytail girl to get through. "Fire will melt her icy heart. Just wait."

My father sighed in disappointment while I shoved Kai making him fall a couple steps. "Hey!" He yelled as I walked off

"This is a big island. Zane could be anywhere. Keep an eye out." Cole advised as the gates opened with people banging drums and chanting.

"So this is the house that noodles built. Ha! Always wanted to go to a red carpet event." Jay said laughing a little

"I thought- you know what never mind." I was gonna say something but I'm deciding not to

"Chen lives like a king. Here, he's totally self-sufficient. The only way on or off this island is with his permission, which you have to earn." Garmadon informed

"You never told me about this place. How do you know so much about this island?" I questioned

"Because before Chen was my enemy, he was my Sensei." My father answered showing us his back with an Anacondrai tattoo.

We all sat in a circle with the other Elemental Masters in the palace.

"You never told me you had a Sensei." I said

"When I was your age, I sought a darker means of guidance. He taught me to win at all cost, no matter who I hurt." Garmadon stated

"Uh, apparently he also never taught you to have a sense of humor. Lighten up, we're in an underground fight club. This is supposed to be fun." Jay smiles gesturing to all of us

I looked up when someone banged a gong and then another thug turns on a gramophone.

"All rise for Master Chen."  Clouse ordered
