We have arrived at our destination. Please watch your step as you exit the pain train, and be sure to grab any personal belongings as you leave. Thank you for choosing to travel with us. We hope to see you again! :D

Honestly, I can't believe I've finished. When I first started, I expected this to be one of those goofy side projects that I worked on sporadically before eventually dropping for the next, like, five years. Instead, I got super crazy invested in this story and its characters and boy did I fly through it! I'm excited and sad to have reached the end. It feels amazing to close out another first draft though--especially after how anxious I started to get at the end.

Stop, don't hit me yet. I still have things to say--

Thank You!

What's a closer without thank yous? First off, thank you to everyone that made it to the end and is reading this message right now. I'm grateful for each and every one of you, and I hope you were as entertained by this story as I was! Thank you for sticking with me to the end! :D

Thank you to all my club partners/readers! You guys are awesome. I appreciate every comment, vote, and excited note on the side that you look forward to my book. It's things like that that keep me going! <3

Thank you to @dreams_of_silver and @SpruceWolf  who bonked me when I talked about giving up, bonked me when my anxiety got ahead of my love for the story, and bonked me when-- wow you guys did a lot of bonking, huh? Rude.

Just kidding. There was lots of love as well. Thank you for your patience, support, insight, and sometimes questionable dot connecting. I'm very thankful for friends like you! :D

Oh and thanks to @Ace_Guard for inspiring me to write this and feeding my angsty dreams I guess. Thanks, tenias. You did good. (Now learn to write fluff properly :kittygun:)

What's Next?

To be honest, I have no idea lol. I had a blast writing this story and I'm not ready for it to be over. Part of me feels like there's more to the world and the characters that I haven't gotten to unravel yet (as is obvious by Felix's lack of knowledge of this whole new world of magic and Dinah), but part of me also likes the tragic, unfilled ending. You know, like those really old plays nobody cares about anymore? It's that vibe. But anyway-- I have some vague ideas for a sequel but I need to nail them down before I start writing. If I do go through with it though, it will be called... Dust to Dust. I do have that part figured out >:)

So... sequel maybe. Until then, I'll be doing a little bit of quick polishing and submitting to the Wattys! As this is still a first draft--I fully admit that lol--I don't have any big dreams of winning, but I wanted to push myself to at least submit and see how it goes.

EDIT: The sequel, Dust to Dust, is out and currently ongoing! It updates every other Saturday. I will link the book here but you can also find it on my profile! ---------------->

Extras :D

Since "sequel maybe" is very unfulfilling (for some reason...), here are some extra fun things for you!

I have a mini Discord server where I chat with my readers, share art and bonus material, and other cool stuff like that! If you're interested in joining, you can find the link in my bio! I would love to see you there :)

There is a short oneshot centered around young Felix in my short story collection, Gold Dust. It's called Twenty-Seventh Kill and it might be fun if you like reading about me making Felix hurt :D I will link it here but you can also find it on my profile! ------------->

Finally, I've seen a couple of other writers do this and I wanted to try it, so here we go!

--Who is your favorite character?

--Who is your least favorite character?

--What was your favorite scene?

--What was your favorite Feiko (yes that's what I call it) moment?

Thank you once again! I'll see you all soon in the sequel maybe ;)
