this takes place between them buying the rings at christmas time and the proposal
scott has mark's ring and mark has scott's ring and they have way too much fun almost proposing to each other
plus a bonus scene at the end

"I'm not done kissing you yet," Mark pouts, when Scott pulls away.
"Needy, are we?" Scott teases.
"We just got home from your tour and seeing our families! We haven't had any real alone time since mid-November. Can you blame me?" Mark asks.
Scott just giggles, going in for another kiss.
They kiss for a while, their love and adoration for one another being shown through their kiss.
Soon, though, they both get tired, and decide it's time for bed.
"Gimme your hand," Scott says, as he has his arms wrapped around Mark while they cuddle.
"How do I do that?" Mark laughs.
"Just—" Scott manages to grab Mark's hand.
"What are you doing?" Mark is still laughing.
"It's missing something," Scott says. He kisses Mark's shoulder.
Mark's eyes go wide, but he remains calm. "It is, isn't it?" He adds.
Scott runs his thumb along Mark's ring finger, and Mark can't help but wonder. Is this the moment Scott proposes?
"Babe?" Mark asks Scott.
"Hm?"
"It's missing something." Mark pouts. "My hand, it's missing something."
"Mhm."
"Make it...make it not miss something anymore."
Scott chuckles cutely. "We'll have to get on that soon, then, won't we?" He kisses Mark's shoulder, and cuddles closer to Mark. "I love you. Goodnight, Marky."
Mark rolls his eyes. Scott knows exactly what he's doing. "Goodnight, honey. I love you too."

"Babe! Wait up!" Mark says, giggling when he finally catches up to Scott, and grabs his hand. "You're too tall, you noodle."
Scott shrugs. "Keep up better."
"You don't even know where we're going," Mark raises an eyebrow.
"Again. Keep up better."
"It's not my fault you're so damn tall," Mark says, and Scott laughs. "Here we are! I told you it was the perfect view," he says.
Scott looks around, and sure enough, it is the perfect view. "Wow."
