[Author's note: It actually took me a long while to do this, I don't know why but I just kept getting stuck because I don't know what to do with it. Anyway this is just for fun]

Kusuo sighed, he had to come all the way to England because his limiter for his powers broke and the only one who can fix it is Kusuke, his older brother
Kusuo is a high schooler but was somehow born with unimaginable powers, like teleporting or levitating to say the least. He's what some might call a psychic but he wants to live a normal life so he's hiding his powers
But as he got older and he got more powerful, he struggles to get a hold of his powers and to control it better, his older brother made him a limited to put a limit on his powers. That's Kusuke
Kusuke is annoying because he also made a device that doesn't allow Kusuo to use a power that he can't really shut off. Which is reading minds. Despite not being able to control it. He greatly benefits from it so not being able to read Kusuke is frustrating
And today,
Kusuke is really annoying to him too he brought his classmates, Kaidou and Nendou for some kind of annoying surprise and forced him and his classmates on a hide and seek in England
Kusuke probably just wanted to win against Kusuo. Because of Kusuo's powers. Kusuke has yet to win. And although this elaborate hide and seek is annoying.. Kusuo still wanted to win
(Time skip)
Kusuo and his parents followed his brother right after they played a big game of hide and seek, which he won with his classmates, with the help of his powers that he managed to hide from his classmates. But Nendou and Kaidou were sent back to their room at the moment because Kusuke said he wanted to announce something to his family "I like you all to meet someone"
Kusuke opened the door to the dining room, there sat a girl that looks about the same age as Kusuo, she had long black hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and she wore some gray scrubs like she was in a hospital
"Who is that Kusuke?" Papa asked
"Girlfriend?!" Mama asked in excitement
"No" Kusuke walked towards the girl, he patted her head as he stood behind her, and held her shoulder "This lady here is Ferine. Ferine Oxana Addams. She works part time as my lab rat, but she's going to be transferring soon to Kusuo's school, so, I told her that she can stay with you guys. Be her host family please"
"What?! No way!" Kusuo exclaimed in surprise. Kusuke knows that Kusuo is trying to keep his powers a secret so hearing him suggest this sounds absurd
"Don't worry she knows your secret! and she's very good at keeping quiet. Isn't that right Ferine?" Kusuke looked at Ferine and smiled at her
Ferine smiled at Kusuo
Kusuo decided to try and read her mind, trying to ignore the thoughts he's currently hearing from the people around him. Specifically his parents thoughts
"So she isn't a girlfriend?" Mama pouted a little "Here I thought big Ku has one now.."
"I don't really mind. So long as they don't. But I'm really hungry now. I can think about that later" Papa sighed "Well I guess I can wait. Are they don't talking now?"
Kusuo rolled his eyes and brushed off those thoughts to try and listen to Ferine
"....."
"..........huh?" Kusuo looked in surprise, he can't read her mind, but it's not that he can't hear anything but there's this white noise sound or something. For one of his classmate Nendou, he actually can't hear a thing, because he was an idiot and doesn't think about anything. As for Ferine he hears something so it wasn't totally nothing which makes him unsure if she's an idiot as well or not
Kusuke chuckled at Kusuo's confused face "So you can't read her mind.. there's a lot of things peculiar about her. There is also a strange presence I feel around her. Call it a hunch"
"Wait. Are your parents ok with this?" Mama asked out of concern "Are they here?"
"Oh my parents are in jail, my father likes to steal signs as a hobby and play around with a lot of weapons, he got caught and keeps going back whenever he's released. My mother breaks into a lot of zoo often and also gets caught often. Both my parents are not very good at escaping you see. My brother and I were mainly raised by our grandparents" Ferine grinned, saying it without much thought as if she told it several times before
"Oh my.. they're in prison" Mama said
"Oh no don't worry, they break out quite often to see me and my brother, especially on birthdays. The prison had actually gotten used to it and they always strengthen their security on our birthday" Ferine smiled as she leaned back on her chair and and chuckled "It's nice for the police to get a hang of it. They eventually started attending my birthday too, they have guns and nets to capture my mother and father, putting on quiet the show I must say ahahah!"
"...How did you come here in England?" Mama asked
"I was with my Uncle Itt's family vacation. I went with them and we were walking around when I met Kusuke. One of his experiment blew up. It didn't hit anybody but I was intrigued" Ferine said "And then I became his labrat just this summer. Although it might've extended a little but I got paid anyways"
"But still why with us? Can't she just get her own apartment if she gets paid by you?" Kusuo asked Kusuke
"I offered her. It's one less thing for her to worry about. Plus I bought the home anyway" Kusuke said
"...." Kusuo can't deny it, the house they're currently living in, has been bought by Kusuke
"She's very behave. Oh and Kusuo, she is very great at baking, she makes lots of pastries, desserts, and the best coffee jelly-"
"Ok fine" Kusuo sighed, it really can't be helped if he insisted that much, not like he can't totally make it work
(Time skip)
When the food arrived. Kusuo and his parents looked as Ferine ate quiet nicely... She uses the chopsticks well and eats kinda elegantly but... She's eating out of a dog food bowl...
"Ferine. I have a gift for you" Kusuke pulled a black collar with a red circular bead in the middle much like the one on Kusuke's anti mind reading device and Kusuo's hairpins
"Oh wow. Thank you so much" Ferine said
"Can I put it on you?" Kusuke asked
"Sure" Ferine said
The family watched as Kusuke puts it on Ferine's neck. Kusuke said that she's not his girlfriend but he clearly has some feelings for her because if not they just don't know what to call that look Kusuke is giving Ferine right now
"This bead thing here..." Ferine touched her collar after Kuusuke put it on "This is a tracking device isn't it? This is what you were working on. So this is why you didn't want to show it to me"
"That's right. You also can't take it off"
"Eh? Why would you give her that?" Kusuo asked
"Hm? Well I would want to know where Ferine is" Kusuke said "I can also hear stuff from there Ferine. You can talk to me but it's one way since I made it in a rush"
"You know where I am... you'll hear whatever I'm doing.. and I can't take it off.....hm.. you're.. stalking Kusuke?" Ferine smiled "I can't be more happy that you're doing something sinister"
"Ahahaha I knew you'd be happy" Kusuke said "Unfortunately I won't actually be listening in that often, I'm quiet busy after all"
"Unfortunate indeed"
