The night of homecoming had finally arrived, and I was both excited and nervous. As I walked into the school gymnasium, my heart raced with anticipation. I spotted Jessica, looking stunning in her red dress and we made our way to the dance floor.

As the music began to play, I felt Levi's hand on my waist. I turned to face him and he smiled at me, "Ready for our dance, Heather?" he said. I smiled back and nodded. As we danced, I couldn't help but feel grateful for having him as my date. We talked about everything, from our favourite movies to our future aspirations.

As we danced, I noticed Jessica and Darren, who were also on the dance floor, looking at each other. They looked so happy and I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride for having set them up. Suddenly, the music changed, and the DJ announced that it was time to vote for homecoming king and queen.

The votes were tallied, and to my surprise, Levi and Jessica were announced as the winners. They both looked so happy and excited as they walked up to receive their crowns. They shared a dance together as the crowd cheered.

As the night went on, we took pictures and danced the night away. I felt like I was living in a fairytale. Eventually, the dance came to an end, and it was time to go home.

After Jessica's surprise booking of a party bus, we all piled on with our dates. I sat next to Levi, feeling a little nervous but also excited for what the night had in store. As the bus started moving, the drinks started flowing. Jessica brought out bottles of wine and offered shots to everyone.

"This is crazy," I said to Levi, feeling a little lightheaded from the alcohol.

"Yeah, but it's also kind of fun," he replied, putting his arm around me.

We all took turns dancing on the pole in the middle of the bus, laughing and cheering each other on. I felt free and wild, like nothing could stop me. The music was loud and the lights were flashing, and everything felt like a blur.

At some point, I must have passed out, because the next thing I knew, I was waking up in my own bed, wearing only my bra and panties.

I stumbled into my old house, my head throbbing from the previous night's escapades. Darryl was sitting at the kitchen table, scrolling through his phone.

"Oh, you're finally awake," he said, looking up. "You were wasted last night."

I groaned, memories of the party bus flooding back. "Wait, how do you know?"

Darryl chuckled. "Who do you think took you up to your room?"

I blushed, feeling embarrassed and grateful at the same time. "Oh, thanks for that. Please don't tell Mom," I pleaded.

"Don't worry, your secret's safe with me," he assured me with a smile.

I sank into a chair, holding my head in my hands. "I can't believe I got that drunk," I muttered.

Darryl poured me a cup of coffee and slid it across the table. "Well, you had a good time, didn't you?"

I took a sip, the warmth of the coffee soothing my pounding head. "I guess," I said with a shrug. "I just wish I could remember more." Darryl leaned back in his chair, studying me. "You know, you've been acting a little wild lately. Is everything okay?"

I sighed, feeling the weight of the question. "Yeah, everything's fine," I lied, not wanting to burden him with my problems.

Darryl didn't look convinced, but he didn't push the issue. "Okay, just remember to take care of yourself, okay? I don't want to see you get hurt."

Since my transition into a girl, I couldn't help but notice a stark difference in Darryl's behaviour towards me. He used to be rude and indifferent when I was still Bryan, but now, he was unexpectedly protective and caring. It was as if he saw me in a new light, and I couldn't help but wonder why the sudden change. Nonetheless, I appreciated his newfound kindness towards me.
