My alarm goes off to wake me up. Great, school. I hate school. I really don't understand why people enjoy going to school. It's the worst part of my day! I always look forward to after school because that means I can play my sports. If it's winter it's basketball, if it's spring it's baseball, and if it's fall it's football. My favorite is probably baseball. Being on the field brings me such joy. Being a catcher is one of the best things about it too. When I'm on the field nothing else really matters.

My sister calls down for me "James! Come on or I'm leaving without you!" That's Saige. One of my older sisters. She's my ride to school and after practice my mom picks me up. I have 5 siblings. Bailey, Saige, Morgan, and Sawyer. I'm the middle child. Literally. On the way out the door my mom mentions something to me.

"James, did you know that the YMCA has a swim team?"

"Yeah what about it?"

"Oh I don't know I thought you were interested in it."

"Yeah I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea."

"Okay! I'll sign you up!"

I walk out the door with my siblings. I can tell this day will be boring just by the start and I'm not liking it.

NOAHS POV:

I'm really excited to see Hope again. When the last bell rings it's the worst thing ever. I'm thinking about asking Hope out because I think she likes me back. I'm not sure. I'm going to ask one of her friends during homeroom today when Hope isn't around so that way I can ask her without Hope knowing.
TIME SKIP
The bell to go to homeroom rolls around and I'm trying to get there quickly so I can do my daily beat Hope to the chair so that way I can steal her chair. Hope hasn't come in it but her friend Sophie came in so I ran over to her and asked her the question.
"Sophie! I need to ask you a question!"
"Okay? What is it?"
"Does Hope have a crush on me?"
"Uh well it's not really my place to tell."

Then Hope walks in. Glaring at me. Oh no. She's jealous and I don't know what to do. Her eyes aren't leaving mine. Her stare looks cold almost like she's going to cry. I cant see her cry not because of me.

"Just tell me. She's glaring at us right now."
"Ok yes whatever she does."
"Ok thanks"

I run towards Hope. Then she turns around and won't look at me. God she's so stubborn.

"Hey look at me." I plead.

She doesn't move. Just facing forward looking at the teacher. I go to touch her shoulder, but the guy right next to her, Ben, tells me not to because she looks upset. Ugh why are girls so sensitive? I cant deal with her right now. Even though I'm still going to try.

"She's crying." Ben mouthed to me.

Great I made her cry. Not what I wanted to happen. I tap her shoulder.

"what do you want?" She says coldly.

"Are you alright?"

"Do I look alright to you?"

"Uh no. But what happened."

"You and her happened. I thought you liked me. I guess I was wrong."

"Hopey, let's talk after class. Yeah?"

"Fine."

She turns around. Not crying anymore. She then looks over at Sophie that gives her a reassuring look.

TIME SKIP
Now we are going to lunch and I grab Hope's arm. She turns around to face me.

"Hope I was only talking to Sophie because she was telling me if you had a crush on me or not. I went up to her and asked so that way I could ask you to the winter dance."

"Rea-really?!"

"Yes!"

"Oh wow. I feel like an idiot. I'm sorry."

"It's ok. Let's go to lunch ok?"

She takes my hand and we walk to lunch together. We don't sit together at lunch because our friends don't exactly like each other, but I'm just happy to know that she's not mad anymore and can have a good day.
