Chapter 7

Yae stops in her tracks as she sees Rick worse for wear as he was laying in a crater with a half destroyed wooden sword that had major scorched marks on it

Yae:Rick!!
Yae shouted as she kneels down next to him and grabbed him to take him back to the shrine

(Rick pov)

All I could feel was pain as I opened my eyes to see that I was back at the shrine which was weird as all I remembered before passing out was being struck by lighting

Rick:ow welp at least I'm still alive right
Rick said to himself as he sits up slowly as to not agitate his pain further

As he sits up he sees Yae walking into the room before appearing in front of him with a worried expression

Yae;Rick are you alright?!
Yae asked as she looked at him

Rick;well I'm alive so that counts
Rick said as he looked at her

Yae; honestly why did you continue to train under a thunderstorm
Yae asked as she looked towards him

Rick: you literally told me to move lighting with a wooden sword plus I kinda saw it as a way of training
Rick said as Yae changes his bandages

Rick:so how long was I out for
Rick asked as he looked at Yae

Yae; mostly a day but that would be about it
Yae said as she finishes changing Rick's bandages

Rick nodded as he moves his hands a bit to feel something as he still felt a numbing sensation
Rick:thanks by the way
Rick said as he stands up

Yae;you should still rest it'll take a while before your fully recovered
Yae said as she looked at Rick

Rick;I'm fine trust me besides what doesn't kill me well than they aren't trying hard enough
Rick said as he grabs his jacket and slowly puts it on

As he does a smelled something on his jacket
Rick's mind:what is this it smells like a cherry blossom
Rick thought before looking at Yae
Rick;we're you wearing my jacket?
Rick asked as he narrowed his eyes at her

Yae looked away
Yae;I don't know what your talking about
Yae said as she goes to make some tea

Rick: damn teasing fox
Rick thought as he sees the badge Yae gave him was glowing a bit but he ignored it for now as he was getting hungry

(A few days later)

After some recover time from the lighting incident from what Rick described it as he was able to continue training but he noticed that whenever he used his power it felt like it had gotten stronger by each day as he was able to construct multiple snakes and uses them as arms and spears for long range

right now Rick was meditating while using his power to keep a large boulder in the air with some green energy like appendages to hold it in the air
Rick;alright now I just go to my happy place and stay calm
Rick said as he tries to go to his happy place

Rick opened his eyes as the boulder he was holding was crushed by the pressure his energy appendages caused
Rick;okay note to self work on my happy place and probably see a therapist
Rick said as he stands up and dusted off any pieces of rock that landed in him

Rick decided to head into town as it'll help him clear his head a bit
Rick;hey Yae I'm heading out
Rick said as he uses his power and travels towards town
