Everyone was on edge and creeped out the moment the boss came back. The good thing was that he wasn't angry anymore

But another issue was that he was smiling.

A real one and not the manical one he always has

The maids and Clyde couldn't believe it. Things that could make Bruce genuinely smile are non existent so it should be something out of this world to have him smiling like that

The chauffeur was blasted with questions the moment Bruce was out of sight. He was also in the dark like the maids as to how his boss' mood turned around so quickly.

After answering all the questions he could the maids still did not believe him

"A cafe?" One of the maids asked surprised. Their boss isn't the type to visit a cafe, given his line of work. "Are you sure you didn't confuse a shop for a cafe?"

The chauffeur sighed exasperated "I drove him there. I'm sure of the shop"

The maids along with the chauffeur racked their brains to solve the mystery of their boss' smile.

"Maybe it was someone he met?" One of them placed the idea forward. The others looked at her like she was crazy. Their boss wasn't someone to fall in love or smile because of someone.

"Just, think of it...chances are it could be his mate"

"Mate?" The group turned to see an omega with blonde hair and sparking blue eyes.

Victoria glared at the group, wondering what nonsense they decided to gossip about. And whose mate were they talking about? Was it Clyde? Or Bruce?

"Who were you talking about?"

"It was nothing you should worry yourself with Miss. Just meaningless gossip"

Victoria rolled her eyes and walked away. The maids breathed a sigh of relief when the she devil left.

"I really don't like her" Truthfully no one did. Victoria was just an omega in the mansion. She wasn't the madam or anything,the maids and other workers had to address her that way or they'd lose their jobs in the drop of a hat

The reason she has this authority is that she sleeps her way to power

"Who does?"

"Anything new to tell me?" Ace asked his assistant. He wanted to hear more about his brother's mate. At least he has something he can use to hurt him.

"He went to the cafe as you said"

"Interesting" he hummed,just as he thought. So he really did look for him. Ace knew Killian could never let a good deed pass. He has the heart Ace never had. Only killing and torturing when necessary...he was such a softie

Ace never cared about that, if he felt like killing someone nothing would stop him from doing so. You may be innocent or guilty but a kill is still a kill

"But he left him at the cafe"

Ace was surprised,he thought the idiot would forcefully send him to his house. But leaving him just like that...it doesn't sound like him.

Well,it looks like he's going to have to pay his brother a visit

 "Call in an omega, I need to let loose"

Bruce emptied his magazine on the target. The only thing in his head was the omega he met at the cafe, his mate. He was just beautiful with the blush coating his cheeks, curly brown hair the alpha wished to run his hands through and soft lips he wanted to kiss forever.

He groaned and threw the gun, hitting the target.

"Fuck" he cursed

He really had to stop thinking about the omega. As much as he wanted to go and see him again he knew it wouldn't be a good idea. His enemies had eyes everywhere and the one he had to be careful about was Ace. The chances that someone recognised him at the café was high and he wouldn't dare make the mistake of bringing harm to his mate

"Bruce babyyy"

Victoria hugged him from behind, running her hands over him. He felt disgusted with her touch. He wanted his beautiful barista hands instead of the one on him. He pried her hands off and walked to the shelf to remove his gear thinking of visiting again despite the risk. He just wanted to see him again.

"Bruce?"

"What do you want Victoria?" He groaned. Talking to her was never this annoying.

"I was just thinking...." She trailed off, walking to him and swaying her hips, "...that we haven't had time to ourselves lately. I miss you"

He groaned,this is irritating. If his barista was the one saying that he wouldn't have minded but instead it's the annoying whore.

"You're being a nuisance, leave"

Victoria was taken back by the change in his attitude. He was never this rude to her. Maybe a few times and even if it was work he was never this rude.

"Bruce I–"

"Do not call me Bruce again. Leave"

The omega did not want to fight back so she  nodded and quietly left, her mind processing all that happened
