"i am! your not teaching me well enough!" she yelled back as she ran her hands through her hair
aurora has been playing tennis almost her whole life, but with her switching coaches because she moved states.
she's been struggling to work with her coach and she was slowly falling out of love with her sport
"aurora. you don't yell at me" he spoke as he dropped his racket in a angered manner. aurora rolled her eyes
"maybe if you taught me better and treated me like the rest of your kids i would actually do well!" she yelled as she mimicked his actions dropping her racket
"i have had enough for today. i'll see you another time, aurora." he spoke as he picked up his equipment and walked over to his car
her eyebrows furrowed as she watched him drive away, she wanted to scream. she couldn't take this sport anymore
"you good?" a voice asked behind her as she groaned again "hayden, i am not in the mood for your stupid jokes" aurora spoke
thinking it was her brother to joke with her about her shitty coach, "i'm not hayden" the voice spoke back
she turned around to be faced with a boy, he had curly hair, brown eyes and a nice smile
"oh. sorry" she spoke, she was embarrassed that he probably saw her burst of emotions that she showed
"your coach is good, you know?" he spoke as he walked closer to her "he really isn't" she replied watching the boy
"maybe you don't get along with him, you could change that" he spoke, she was about to say something until he spoke before her
"or you can get a new one" he said shrugging as she watched him speak
her eyebrows furrowed "who's your coach?" she asked as he smirked "coach kelce" he replied as she rolled her eyes
"of course your gonna stick up for him" she replied as she turned around to grab her equipment, not wanting to stick around for this
"i'm joking, he's just known. i don't actually know him personally" he replied as she turned around to face him
"you look oddly familiar" she spoke as he shrugged "you don't look familiar" he replied as she smiled flashing her white teeth and dimples
"im ben, ben shelton" he said holding his hand out "im aurora, aurora sanders" taking his hand
after shaking each others hands, she mentioned she was gonna head out, but he stopped her from leaving
"wait- let's play a match" he asked her as she smirked "okay, be prepared to lose" she said as she went on her side of the court
he laughed, they started playing, aurora ended up losing "what the fuck- your really good" she said out of breath
he shrugged with a smile as he bowed down cockily "what can i say? i'm a pro" he replied as she laughed "yeah okay"
"it was nice talking to you" she replied as he smiled "yeah you too" she started to walk to her car but he stopped her again
"aurora!" he said as she turned around smiling biting her lip "are you going to that tennis match, tomorrow?" he asked
"yeah, i'm going with a friend. are you?" she asked as he nodded "yeah, with a friend too" he lied as she smiled
"then maybe i'll see you there" she spoke as she really walked away, she thought about asking for his number
but she would probably see him the next day. so maybe she'll get the chance then.
