Oh, how the heart longs for the touch of another
A glimpse of a smile, the sparkle of those eyes
A gentle hug, a whisper of an "I love you."

A moment in time, a memory of bliss
The one who makes us strong, whose strength we borrow.
A soul to cherish, a light in the dark
In sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow

Love is a gift from the heavens above.
A blessing to cherish, a light to love.
Let our hearts be full of affection and care.
The one who lifts us up, the one who we share.

And in the good times and the bad
Let our love keep us strong.
To be each other's rock, to stand tall and proud.

To be the source of joy and comfort in life.
