Yeri and Ni Manman stood among the crowd.
Someone said, “Yeri, go and persuade your older sister. Chen Miaoyi is already crying and begging her, but she still refuses to agree. Is she trying to push Chen Miaoyi into the grave?”

“Although Big Sister Lisa here doesn’t treat Wan Wan very well, Wan Wan has never said a bad word about her!”
“After all, she’s a member of the Kim family. She lives under the same roof as Wan Wan. They would have to face each other all the time. Why would Wan Wan do anything to cause them to have a falling out? With Wan Wan’s personality, she could never do such a thing!”

Ni Manman glared at him, he clammed up immediately.
However, after listening to their chatter, Ni Manman said in frustration, “If it can’t be worked out, let Miaoyi accept the bet. She made her own decision, so she should bear the consequences. Otherwise, if she walks away, others will just think we’re sore losers.”
“To be honest, I feel embarrassed watching her cry in front of Lisa. People struggle to live their life, this is just quitting school. Why not just drop out? It’s so simple. Why do you still bother to seek Lisa?”
She said all this so casually, without an ounce of consideration for Chen Miaoyi’s situation.
Ni Manman’s grandfather was a nouveau riche. Back then, he had bought many properties all over Beijing. Now, these properties had multiplied in value many times their original price. Even if he didn’t work, he could live a life of comfort just by collecting rent from said properties.
