Ace's POV :

Like usual, after waking up I went directly to meet Sabo

But today was different! It was a special day, at least according to Sabo

It was my birthday

Tho I didn't cared about that

Everytime it's my birthday, it snows in here, even the sky looks depressed

I walked through the woods as I wondered how old I am gonna be this year..... 9? Ah no 10

Dadan is too drunk to even remember

I went to mine and Sabo's usual place however Sabo wasn't there

Huh? Doesn't he literally live a minute away?

I sat there, waiting for him

What if he comes and finds me dead?

I laughed at the thought

Should I just go and lay in front of the big tiger in this woods?

Or should I jump into the water waiting to just die and drown?

I stood in front of the big pond, it was frozen however it was a very thin layer of ice

I felt a little glad that I didn't ever learn how to swim, or rather there was no one who could teach me

Ahaha I laughed at myself for the tasteless joke

I stood there for a minute, just staring at it

.... Sabo went off somewhere, this place isn't any of our usual spots, no one comes into the woods anyways

Yep, if I jump in, no one can save me now

First the cold sensation made me feel bad however soon my body started to feel numb.... The water was pulling me in, light kept fading.....

My vision started to get blurry

What now? I thought to myself pissed

A hand started to come inside the water,

The hand started to reach for my head and that person started to pull onto my hair

And finally I was above the water again

She didn't realize that I was going to kill myself right?

"MAN YOU ARE LUCKY I THOUGHT YOU WERE A BIG FISH OR I MIGHT HAD JUST LEFT YOU HERE TO DIE AHAHA" She laughed to herself

Y/N'S POV :

"Heyyy?? You okay kid?" I asked as the kid seemed to be snapped out of it

He didn't seemed to be planning on muttering any words

I went and touched his cheeks to see if he js too frozen to talk however he started to run away

"O-oi!" I tried to call him however it didn't work

.... Weird kid....

The next day I went to a place called "trash mountain" With yassop, we planned on taking the loot the pirates were hiding there, stealing from the village

"Tell me, where are the loot?" I asked the big fat ugly pirate as I choked hi

"I- I really don't Kn-know" He said while crying, I tighten my grab making him scream for mercy more

"ACE!" he said as I lossen my grip

"Ac... Ace.... He and another oee of his friend.... They keep stealing for us.... Those brats are quite popular here....... They even beat us up sometimes.... " That man mumbled

I released him

Ace..... This name sure does take me back.... Captain's sword's name was also Ace

"Is this Ace from another pirate crew?" I asked curious

"No.... "

"He is just an orphan kid--" As he said that, his work was done, Yassop shoot him

"Let's go" I ordered and Yassop followed

"Shanks" I called as he was laying in our room, when we are in an small island like dawn island, we always stay at the ship because the island isn't so welcoming of pirates or is too small to have a hotel

In this case, it was both

"Where have you been Y/n" He said as he stretched in his bed a bit

"Why do you care? Go ask your Makino" I said angry

The reason I went into the woods was cuz Shanks was paying too much attention towards his new friend makino and I am an incredibly jealous person

"Heyyy~~ don't be angryy" He came closer as he pulled me into his arms

"Hmphhh, I don't careee about youuu, no one is angry hereee" I said with a pout as he kissed me

"No fair shanks"

"Ahahaha, you look cute even when you are angry"

"I hate you"

"I love you more"

"Just know that I only have my eyes on you" He added

The next day, I went into the woods again

Why? This Ace kid seems interesting

He beats up those huge pirates at this age? I wanna see for myself

....

I walked and walked, the cold was too much, whatever

As I walked I heard rustling from the woods, I looked around to find no one there

I started walking but could feel someone following me

"WHAT NOW?" I asked as I turned arpundy but no reply

I used my haki and soon the rustling stopped, I went to where the person was and.... It was that freckled kid again

Mann I made him unconscious without even knowing it's a kid

I feel guilty

I picked him up and found a nice place to seat at, I layed him on some huge tree leafs and sat near him, waiting for him to wake up

He didn't die did he?

Shanks is gonna scold me if he did...

I sighed again and felt something move, I looked towards the kid and he was now awake

"KID!!" I said happily hugging him but he moved away shy

I just stared at him for a second

"AHAHAHAHA HOW CUTE" I said making him blush more

"Also I am sorry, I mistakenly used my haki on you" I apologized as he got more confused

He didn't spoke

"Are you deaf?"

He still didn't spoke

Ah!

"Are you mute?"

He again didn't even reply or shook his head

.... Maybe he is

"Yosh! I have to go now, I am actually searching for someone" I grinned and I went my way, leaving him there alone
