Chapter 16

Samyukta walked into the lift and pressed on  the 7th floor button making the doors close but an sudden voice made her hands to Stop the lift doors from closing ' Samyukta wait for me ' it's was devdutt

" Thanks" He said gasping for air

"You okay?" Samyukta asked in consern " was it any emergency? " Suddenly dev became stiff causing Samyukta to raise an eyebrow " you got anything to talk to me?" Samyukta was waiting for dev to talk

" Did I do something to offend you? " On hearing dev
Word Samyukta couldn't understand what he meant
"Huhh?"

" The way you bowled against me in the nets everyone said  that you go friendly in nets, you even bowled calmly to eda and other players today you let them adjust them to your bowling but when it came for me you bowled like it's your last ball and have to take wicket, so I thought that I might have somewhere or somehow offended you .....did I? "

Dev sounded genuine he didn't want anyone to feel bad because of him " what if you did?" Samyukta asked dev making his say " sorry but may I know what I did to offend you ? " For some unknown reasons smile was far from leaving samyukta's face

"  I'm sorry I was just pulling your leg and coming to my behaviour in the nets that my way of knowing the batting strength of the player, if I didn't bowl hard how would I know your strength in batting "

Dev made an ohh face making Samyukta chuckle
"It seems like my overthinker self got kick in " dev said with an little embarrassment "I don't hold grudges against people whome I like " on listening to samyukta's words the only thing dev could say was "huhhh??" an uncontrolled chuckle left from samyukta

"I can't play this hide and seek, so listen I LIKE YOU DEV " Samyukta kept looking into his eyes and so did dev, their eye contact was broken by sound of lift doors opening "it's my floor " saying samyukta walked out and turn towards dev smiling and mouthed ' good night '

The doors shut leaving dev alone in the lift, his thinking ability stopped for an while he finally breathe out realising that all this while he was holding breath he was still in trance processing things that happened while ago, he never imagined that an girl would confess to him on his face all of the sudden with just few hours of knowing him

It's not like he never received confession's from his female fans but this confession was different it was making him nervous

Meanwhile Shubman and Eda

Eda and Shubman were walking around the hotel
With cool breeze surrounding them the atmosphere was perfect "thanks for flowers" eda said looking into Shubman " it was bare minimum I could do for you eda and I'm looking forward to gift you as many Tulip's I can gift you since they are your favourite" shubman said with an pleasent smile making eda cheeks turn red " how did you knew that tulips are my favourite ? "Eda asked amused " there are many things that I know about you eda " shubman said in an proud tone making eda chuckle at his efforts

"Icecream?" Shubman asked eda pointing towards the store earning an node from her
"Which flavour?" Shubman asked eda "you said you know many things about me so why bother asking me" eda said folding her hands " let's me think..... chocolate??" On hearing Shubman's words the only thing eda could say was "are you stalking me?"on seeing eda's reaction shubman couldn't control his laugh and broke into laughter, it's was pure delight watching Shubman laugh with dimples on his cheeks " it was just an guess " shubman said in the middle of the laughter
