Finally, after all the wait,
I can see the tears in my eyes,
And the relief is so surreal,
It makes me feel that I still have something left in me.
Just yesterday,
It felt like something was lodged in my heart,
Trapping me,
Constricting my lungs.
But today, when I see rain pouring out,
I see the light in darkness,
I see that we can recover when we feel we can't.
I hope that this feeling lasts a bit longer,
That I don't have to go back to those places of darkness.
My tears keep falling but I feel relief today,
And I hope it lasts.
