No one knows my heartaches
Nor does anyone feel the blood rushing in my ears
Confusing and chaotic impulses
Leading to painful headaches
Dusty old lungs
Breathing toxic wastes
Dark, blurry eyes
Looking everywhere
Beneath all the twitching and the erratic walks
Beyond the voids and the black holes
A cloud filled with lightning
And memories of a twisted life
But with clean wrists
And a clean conscience
People don't notice
What they really ought to see
He's been unworthy
For god knows how long
"Speak your mind!"
He'll just smile and say
Nothing can save me
From the darkened eyes
Those walking shadows in the corridors
Nothing but a deus ex machina
