I was sitting in the kitchen sipping on my daily cup of tea after I had my breakfast. My skin had goose bumps caused of the cold air in the kitchen even though the sun was peaking in the windowsill. The sunrays made random patterns on my Vogue magazine I was reading. I was waiting for Zayn to get out of the shower, so that I could fix myself. My damped hair soaked my cream white sateen robe, and I was a little relieved when I heard him turn off the water and step out of shower. I was already late, and I hadn't even done my makeup nor packed my bag. I put away the magazine and started organizing my chemistry books.

I heard Zayns humming getting louder when the bathroom door got opened. His footsteps made their way towards me and stopped right behind me. He slipped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer.

"Good morning, baby," I could hear the smile on his lips as he whispered in my ear and placed a soft kiss on my cheek.

"Morning!" I said and smiled for myself, "your breakfast is on the counter," I told him and started packing my schoolbag.

"Thank yooou," Zayn said and went over to the silverware drawer and took out a fork.

I heard my phone notify me getting a text. "Do you mind reading that one?" I said and began searching for my chemistry exercise binder.

"Amy?" I heard Zayns skeptical voice while I was worriedly searching for my binder I couldn't remember where I had left.

"Are you going out tonight?" He said again with a worriedly and questioning voice, "and who is this Alex?"

"Baby, I told you last week that I'll be going out with Alex, from high school. Is there something up or what?" I remembered how annoyed he had gotten when I told him about Alex last week, but I just kept going through my papers and feeling a bit panicked not finding a trace of my important binder.

"Well yeah, there is something up because you promised to go with me on this event I was talking about," he said somewhat annoyed.

I stopped and meet his graze. Right then it hit me that he had told me about it some weeks ago, but I couldn't just call Alex now and say that I wasn't going to make it. I hadn't seen him since high school and I really missed him. Besides I could go with Zayn on plenty other events, but Alex wouldn't be here always. Even though he was far away from me now, he was one of my best friends who never left my side, no matter what. I had known him since 4th grade, but we became literally best friends when we got a bit older. He had always been there for me through breakups, girl friend fights, moody periods, family troubles, my stupid ideas, road trips and hard schooldays. He had put up with all of this and the crazy stuff I came up with. I really appreciate having a friend like him. Some say that friendship between a girl and a boy isn't possible, but I swear it is.

Being friends with him were so much better, no drama then being friends with girls and I really appreciated our friendship. Of course nothing could compare the relationship between me and Zayn. Zayn and I aren't just a couple, we are best friends, soul mates, but it's always good to have other friends around you too.

"Oh ... I totally forgot! But I haven't seen Alex since he joined the military and he finally got his leave, besides he is leaving tomorrow since his sister is getting engaged ..." I sighed, feeling bad ruining Zayns plans. He sighed and tossed himself down on the opposite chair of me.

"Baby, I'm sorry I really wanted to come with you, but another time, yeah?" I said and remembered I had left my binder on my desk in our bedroom. I placed my hand on Zayns and flashed him a pleading smile before I went to get my binder and finish packing my bag. He sighed loudly again and didn't even look at me. Angrily he began snapping the food.

I really didn't let that bother me, we always used to have small disagreements now and then, and immediately we made out again. I picked up my binder off the desk and stuffed it in my already packed bag. I slipped off my robe and went to the bathroom and blow-dried my hair. These irregular classes at university were actually kind of tiresome because one day I had to wake up six and the next day ten causing me to forget the time always.
