brooke POV

I found Mark talking with wade bob felix and ken

"Uh hey Mark can I uh talk to you for a minute" I asked

"Yeah sure what's up?" He said

"Alone" he nodded and got up we went outside

"What do you think your doing" I nearly shouted

"What did I do?" He asked

"Where's Jack," I asked

"He's at home he uh wasn't feeling well" he said I rose an eyebrow at him

"Mark you know what's going on why would you do this?"

"I don't want her getting hurt" he said

"You can't just fuck around with people's mates" I said

"I-"

"No Mark you were worrying about yourself" I said

"I just don't want the same thing happening to her that happened to me" he said

"It won't Mark" I said placing a hand on his shoulder

"How do you know that" he snapped his eyes glowing yellow

"I don-"

"THEN WHY SAY IT"

"Mark calm down" I said

"Promise me he won't" Mark said

"I pro-"

"Paw promise" he growled and I gulped if I broke that I would loose all contact with the pack and would be turned against which would also mean I lost Mitch

"Mark I can't risk-"

"Then don't complain about MY cousins do her so called mate" he went to walk back inside he can't just leave her in the dark alone forever

"MARK don't you walk away" he turned to me

"I paw promise he won't hurt her nor will the same thing happen to her what happened to you" I said and felt a slight burning in my wrist I looked down to see my marking it had a slight glow for a few seconds then went away

"What his number?" I said

"Why?"

"Just give it" I said he groaned but gave it to me grabbed his hand

"Mark everything will be ok" I said his eyes went back to brown he nodded before going inside i dialled the number

"Hello?" I asked

"Hi" came back

"This is Jack yeah?"

"Yes"
