driving with you, i remember it was always an adventure. all the windows were permanently down and the road signs meant nothing to you. the way your blonde hair would lick at your cheeks when you drove sent shivers through me. we were always pulled over, but once you sent that officer your smile it didn't seem to matter.
the danger faded with you, between us everything was just free. it was our time when you drove. it was dusk or dawn. when the darkness was just fading and the light was just beginning.
it was our neutral ground, nothing could hurt us here.
