Chapter 1: The Beginning

Makaya's POV

Hey my name is Makaya Amelia Hernandez let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm 22 years old I live in San Francisco, California. I live with my parents and my sister Aaliyah. On the other hand my brother Elijah doesn't live with me because he has his own family. My mom is Nigerian and my dad is Colombian. So that makes me Colombian and Nigerian.

My dream is to play soccer in Europe. I've been playing soccer since I was 6 years old.

(Tuesday Afternoon)
I'm driving home from soccer practice, and I get a call from my besfriends.

(Phone call)

"Hey guys" I said to them.

"Kay did Neymar's institution except your application yet?" Sandra asked.

"No not yet I really hope they except me" I sighed.

"Don't worry they'll except you, your skills are amazing and I'm not saying that because you're my best friend" Christina said.

I laughed at what Christina said
"Thanks love" I said

"Anytime bitch" both Christina and Sandra said on the other line.

"Oh my gosh you guys are too much" I laughed

"Um we know we are" they both responded

"Well I'll call guys later I just parked in my drive way bye guys love you" I said.

"Bye hoe" Christina said.

I walked in the house and was greeted by my mom. "Hey sweetie how was practice" my Mom asked.

"Umm it was good" I said while grabbing something to drink.

"Mom did you get anything in the mail today while I was at practice" I asked curiously.

"No honey sorry" Mom said with a sad look on her face.

"Honey I know how much you want to be excepted in that soccer institution" she said.

"Mom I've been waiting for weeks!"I sighed.

"I know, I know the time will come don't worry" my mom said.

"Now go get ready for dinner okay?" She asked.

"Okay mom " I said while walking upstairs to my room.

Maybe I'll never get an answer, but I still have a little hope in me
