Hi, guys, so today (I know I'm kind of late posting this but...eh. It's been a pretty crazy day for me. ^_^) Wattpad announced the winners of The Wattys and I have some incredible news. 👑

I woke up this morning, expecting today to be a normal day...that changed when I checked my phone and saw tons of notifications, mainly from Twitter. Wattpad tweeted "Today's the day!" I quickly retweeted asking "Is today the day?" with a huge smile on my face. Wattpad Ambassadors confirmed it, repsonding with a like.
I quickly clicked on the link leading to The Wattys official site and began slowly scrolling through the categories, searching for my stories along with anyone's I may have known.
I grew nervous as I passed the first few categories, still no sign of either of my books. That's when I landed on the category: Writer's Debut.
I paused and slowly laid my phone on the bed. I let the excitement build and then it all came out at once. I jumped out of bed and rushed over towards my daughter, teary eyed, scaring her while she sat on a bean bag watching Ice Age. (In her eyes, she probably thought I was having a mental breakdown XD)
It blew my mind seeing my story among many other talented writers/authors. What more can I say guys; this is literally a dream come true. Not many people know this but I once had an old Wattpad account years ago, but I never uploaded anything because I was afraid my work wasn't good enough.
Years later, January 2016, I made a new account and I began to showcase my stories.
Since then I've become more confident, I'm more motivated, and my passion for writing is even greater. My friends, my family, and all of you guys have helped me get to where I am now. Reading, voting, giving me feedback.
I must admit, your brutally honest reviews & critics hurt sometimes, but I appreciate your honesty. I truly do, because it really does make me a better writer at the end of the day.
