It's the age old question, and something I get asked a LOT as a children's author. My not-so-helpful answer is: "Everywhere! I'm never short of ideas."
A much more helpful answer is in the pages of this book. Bearing in mind that ideas really can come from anywhere, I've taken a few of the specific places I've sourced story, scene, or character ideas, and pulled them together.
Each idea will be explained, an example from one of my books will be given, and you'll get some prompts to help create your own stories.
