Broken

Hugs

As they broke away, Robin looked at Starfire who stood alone, staring at the ground sadly. Noticing the upcoming events, Cyborg crept out of the room while Raven took Beast Boy by the arm and shadow-traveled. The trio went to the Ops Room and returned to their normal activities. Cyborg went to the kitchen while Beast Boy turned into a cat and sat down on the couch. Raven sat down beside him, reading a book quietly. Suddenly, Beast Boy stood up and padded over to Raven. He hopped into her lap and sat against her, rubbing his head against her chest and purring contentedly. Raven looked at him in alarm, blushing quite furiously. BB stared up at her with his big, green cat eyes. He mewled. Raven smiled. She stroked his head and continued reading while Beast Boy fell asleep in her lap.

Robin looked at Starfire with a quizzical look in his blue eyes. "What's wrong?" She looked up at him, tears welling in her crystalline, bright emerald eyes. "Why, Robin? Why didn't you ever tell anyone?" Robin didn't answer. He walked over, picked her up, and sat down on the bed with her in his lap. And he wrapped his arms around his best friend. Robin could feel the heat of her blush. "Robin..." He pulled back, only to rush forward to connect his lips with hers. Starfire was surprised, but she merely intertwined her fingers in his soft hair, and kissed him right back. 

Robin was walking back to his room with Starfire floating at his side. He opened the door and walked in. "Robin?" He looked at his girlfriend. "Yes, Starfire?" She bowed her head awkwardly. "Can I sleep with you tonight?" The Boy Wonder smiled, and led her in. She climbed in next to him and encircled her arms around him, and fell asleep.

Robin stared at his beautiful girlfriend for a minute. Then he kissed her forehead closed his eyes, and fell asleep with a smile on his face.

But this time, Robin didn't have a single nightmare. He just had beautiful dreams.
