The New Girl

Chapter 5

(Spencer's POV)

We finally arrived at my house and when I parked my car and got out I looked over to see a gawking Allie.

Smiling to myself I asked," do you want to come in?"

She looked at me,"yeah I'm coming in!" She said. "By the way your house is the biggest house on the block, just how much do your parents make?"

I shrugged my shoulders and started walking into my house.

I was thinking to myself and thought I don't really like living in a big house, it's too scary and creepy and people sometimes think I'm some spoiled brat. I would rather live in a nice cozy home.

I put my bag on my couch and continued to get the money my parents left for me,while they were out.

I turned around and saw Allie still in awe over how big my house was.

"Do you want me to show you around?" I asked looking down at the ground and messing with my hands.

"What, yeah that would be cool I guess." She said acting like she didn't care, but I knew she really wanted to.

I showed her the living room, tv room, the kitchen, my back yard and then up stairs I showed her all 6 bedrooms, except mine, because I don't like people in or seeing my room and continued showing her the game room, music room, and exercise room.

She looked like a kid in a candy shop, with her mouth wide open and aweing at all the things I showed her. It was kinda cute and amusing to watch.

After the little tour Allie asked," you have so many things and rooms, just how many people live?"

I kinda looked away and pointed at myself.

"So it's just you and your parents living here in this huge mansion?"

I shook my head yes.

"That must be so cool?"

I just shrugged my shoulders I guess.
"Should we head to the library now." I asked.

Pouting she said,"fine I guess we should even though I would rather stay here and keep touring your house."

That was the cutest thing I've seen her do.... what am I talking about everything she does is cute.

When we got to the library and went inside, I was amazed at how big it was. It was like I was in library heaven. It is way bigger than the old library back in my home town.

We put our things down and went to find books to start researching for our project. I came back with an arm full of books and when I looked at Allie, I realized she only got one book. I sat down and grabbed the book she got and read the tittle, it said" How to Survive a Robot Invadion".

Really, this doesn't even have anything to do with human emotions or Psychology.

With a confused face I held up the book to her,"Really?"

She looked up from her phone,"what I got tired of looking through the books and just grabbed a random one."

I sighed and put the book down and started reading through the books I got.

"Hey, you never know there could be all kinds of human emotions in that book." She said trying to be serious.

I looked at the book, with a robot shooting lasers out of its eyes, and thought, she really thinks this book could help us with our project.

I just shook my head and continued on with my research.

"If you don't like the book I got then you can just do this project by yourself, because I'm fine with not helping." She said crossing her arms.
