In Victorian times, Hawthorne symbolized hope.

"Leafeon." A pink paw shakes the sleeping Pokémon. "Wake up."Leafeon opens her eyes to see Pixie Cloud standing over her. "What are—"
"Prince and Nightshade are gone," Pixie Cloud's voice trembles with fear. "I-I don't know where they are." Her blue eyes are wide when they land on Leafeon. "You-You've noticed she leaves really, really early in the morning?"
"I don't know because she's always sleeping with you!" Leafeon hisses. "Where did you think she was going!?"
"T-To the tree." Pixie Cloud presses her body to the mattress. "There's a tree here; it still blooms. S-She loves it there. I didn't see why she would go and see Prince..." She peers out the window beside the bed.
"If you haven't noticed," Leafeon looks bitterly at her leg, "I can't walk." Pixie Cloud looks more concerned with telling someone than getting someone to help her look. Even then she isn't bossing Leafeon around, instead she's acting like a kit who lost their mother. I swear, she's losing her mind.
Her head jerks around when the mechanical door groans from downstairs. She carefully walks away from the window and peeks her head out the door, her ribbons and tail twitching with every sound. "You have to come with me." Pixie Cloud wraps her ribbons around Leafeon and gently pulls her off the bed.
She walks down the stairs, nearly tripping on Kalili and Leimomi as they decided to sleep in the middle of the hall. The Sylveon stops in the main room where Nightshade sits hunched over in the computer chair, coughing and shaking. Pixie Cloud sets Leafeon down and trots over to her.
"Did you ever love my sister?" Leafeon asks, having seen enough of Pixie Cloud rub up on Nightshade. "Because if you did, you got over her very, very quickly."
Pixie Cloud pauses. "Of course I do."
"She treated you well. But you left her." Leafeon draws circles in the floor with a claw. "She really loved you. Guess that doesn't matter to you."
The only good thing that came out of this whole situation was that Pixie Cloud was being nicer. Leafeon almost wishes her and Wild Spark were together again. Wild Spark would never admit it, but she missed Pixie Cloud, it was written all over her muzzle. It even looked like Pixie Cloud missed her, too, to some extent. Yet, she demands to stay here with Nightshade, a Pokémon who wouldn't love her even if she wanted to.Was this the Pixie Cloud Wild Spark always gushed over? Leafeon frowns. If she can be so nice to me now, she could've been back then.
"I didn't leave because I didn't love her," Pixie Cloud mutters.
"Then why'd you go?"Her ears flatten. "I don't have to tell you, runt!"
