My days have been different. I gave myself a high five.
Now, for every lunch, I hang out with Keith in front of the Sather Clock Tower. He says its the third or fourth tallest clock tower in the world.
And for some crazy reason, I believed him.
Now we sit there, eating ramen as the world passes us by.
"So James, what's shakin', bacon?" he asked.
"Nothing really." I lied. I had been assaulted by the same girl twice in two days and I also happen to like her best friend.
"If you say so." he said. He and I took a spoonful of ramen and ate it.
"How's the app?" I asked, attempting small-talk.
"It's great. Imagine the possibilities!" he cried.
"So where do you save your K.E.I.T.H. pictures?"
"You have a choice of the device you're using at the time or you can email it to yourself." he said.
"That's good." I said. I ate more ramen.
"Hey, Keith."
"What's the word, hummingbird?" he asked.
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"For letting me into your life."
"No problemo." he said. We continued eating.
"Hey, Keith."
"What's up, buttercup?"
"Nothing. Just seeing what you'd say." I said. We ended up talking about things you wouldn't want to hear about. We did this even after each of our ramen were finished and we split somewhere around where we were talking about airplanes getting speeding tickets. And that's how I knew I had made a true friend.

School went by quickly, as usual. The standard day at school.
So I was anxious for it to end the first time in my entire life.
Why? Because after school was when I went to the library.
And that's where I meet Katherine.
Probably one of the best things that happened to me in my entire life.
Now all I had to do was finish what I started.
I sat down in my usual spot. Instead of my book of quotations (which I turned in earlier today if you must know), I was reading a newspaper. The lead story was about a serial rapist who predators on teens and college girls had eluded the grasp of the police once again. He seemed to be in the area, so people are alerted to keep a close eye out for any suspicious behavior. Just then, Katherine sat across from me.
"Hey, James." she said. She wiped her hair from in front of her face once again.
"Hey, Katherine." I said as calmy as possible. I was nervous to the max. We sat in silence, her reading her book, me staring at her. Her face as she read was so astronomically beautiful, I couldn't help but have the urge to touch it.
But, of course, I held back.
I had to. I'd probably get convicted for sexual harassment or something.
And no one wants to be seen as a sexual harasser to the person they like a lot, do they?
"So...yeah." I said. She looked up.
"What's going on, proton?" she asked. I laughed. She smiled. I really did like that smile. In the back of my mind, I felt like she had spent too much time with Keith.
"So, how's life?" I asked nervously. I was perspiring like crazy. I could feel the sweat on my forehead dripping down like a cascading waterfall.
"Me? Oh, it's the usual. Like last week, I..." she said. I listened to basically her life story for the next twenty minutes. From shopping to talking to shopping to her friends to shopping to crazy parents to more shopping. Even though I listened to the entire thing, my mind never got bored. Why? Because whenever I started to feel bored, I'd just look at her as she talked. Then, I'd instantly become interested again.
