the pair had undeniable on-screen chemistry in the 2017 film pointless endeavors and many shipped the pair in real life because of how well they got along behind the scenes. this, plus the news of aaron's divorce has already lead fans online to speculate about the idea of a #maron reality, however some are worried that maire herself may have been the reason behind their divorce and has become a "home wrecker."
in the past, both aaron and maire have gushed over one another and their friendship, but have always shut down shipping rumors— and with johnson being fresh out a divorce, it is unlikely they've already gotten together unless there was an affair. nonetheless, the duo reported to be in high spirits about the move and a close source stated that, "after the divorce, aaron's kind of having a rough time. maire has really helped him get back to normal life and move on and has been a really good friend to him since the news broke. they're closer than ever. they're super excited to be living together."
