Chapter 17

Jennie's PoV

I woke up at 8:45 am with a terrible headache. I must've fallen asleep crying. Then I remembered yesterday. Wow. I hurt Lisa. I feel so bad. I hurt the person when all she ever does is treat me right. Kai is just a friend and I told Lisa that I would pick her if ever I'd ever received a question who matters more. I'm such a hypocrite.

"Jennie!" I looked at the person who peeked on my door

"I-Irene," I said when she gave me a cold gaze

"What are you still doing there? Get your ass up. Lisa and Seulgi will be here anytime now," She said and she sat on my bed as I am still lying down

"Where are we going?" I asked

"I thought Lisa told you? You have a date today! She just asked Seulgi to drive you there since it's on the way," Irene answered

"Date? S-she's mad at me, unnie," I told her as I covered my eyes with my arm

"Everyone's mad because of what you did, Jennie," She coldly replied

"But Lisa told them not to be mad because Kai's also your friend. She understood what you did," Irene continued talking

I sat beside her. She was looking at me with a smile.

"Lisa is very understanding, Jennie. Just give her time. You hurt her. It's normal for her not to talk to you," Irene comforted me and I smiled weakly

I got ready and when I finished, they were already waiting for me for half an hour. When I went out, Lisa was leaning on Seulgi's car and she was playing with her crutch.

"Hey, Jennie!" Seulgi greeted and Lisa immediately stood properly

She approached me. I have no idea. What should I do? Should I hug her or should I just wait for her to talk to her?

"I know we're not in good terms but I don't want to waste Irene's effort," She coldly said and she walked back in the passenger's seat

"Just hang in there," Irene said and she patted my back

I took a deep breath. This is gonna be harder than I thought. Between Lisa and I, she's the one who can't stand talking to me. So, it will always be her to apologize but today's case is different. Seulgi started driving and we were just talking if we find something interesting to talk about. While Lisa is just silent, she's just looking outside or just sleeping.

"Where are we going?" I asked

"You'll find out, Jennie. You have to just wait," Irene said while smiling

"Yeah, you should just enjoy it. Lisa has been bugging Irene nonstop just for Irene to help her!" Seulgi stated

"She spent a lot of time for this but we're not even talking," I replied bitterly

"Lisa is not mad at you, Jennie. She's just hurt," Seulgi told me and I nodded

I just closed my eyes and I slept.

"Jennie! Wake up, we're here!" I felt a shrug on my shoulders

I looked at Irene who was waking me up and I looked around. I know this! We're in Jinhae! My hometown! I smiled when I realized where we are. We are in front of our house!

"I'm sorry if we won't greet your family, Jennie since Irene and I still have to go somewhere," Seulgi apologized

"But Lisa is there with you!" Irene said and I looked at Lisa who was outside with a backpack behind her

I hugged Irene but before I let her go. She whispered something

"Make this weekend getaway memorable," and I nodded before letting her go
