A dragon's Ire

64 3 2

Sharply glinting eyes of vermilion glaze,
Prowl through the deepening of charcoal nights;
Plumes of smoke birthing scared fires ablaze,
Leather wings raising scathing winds in flight.
Ironclad scales of tempestuous hue;
Talons of strength shredding immortal bone,
The Wrath of barbarity to imbue,
Overthrowing the kings reign of throne.
Death and destruction a seething thunder,
Dwelling in grief the choir of mortals mourn;
The lives of all decaying asunder,
In the dragon's flames of war few are born;
Into ash cardinal cities befall,
A master of none, a ruler of all.
