An old acquaintance

Me is stressed.

This is where things get juicy and spicey but not in the way you think.

The next day, Tony:

Percy was shivering, lying shirtless on the bed in an off position trying to get comfortable. He didn't want people seeing him and looked really stressed. I brought down his notebook and schoolwork to keep him busy. Despite being dyslexic, the kid could write endlessly in Greek if he wanted to. I didn't think of translating it since he wrote it that way for a reason. As much as I am curious, I'm not that nosey.

Percy wasn't doing any better or any worse. He was just uncomfortable and had intense hot and cold flushes. Bruce was still on his mission so we couldn't contact him. I was only able to do so much, I'm a mechanic, not a doctor.

When he did eat, he didn't eat much. Percy was never hungry, but we still had to push him to eat. Sometimes he'd be fine with it. Sometimes he just saw our upset faces and guilted himself into eating the food to make us happy.

Percy:

I was impatient. I was stressed. I was exhausted. Why were the fates so cruel? Why wouldn't my enemies just give me a break?

I hadn't slept while in Tony's lab. Someone was always watching or monitoring me, so I felt nervous and uncomfortable with sleeping. What if I said something? What if they asked me to talk about my dream/nightmare?

I was hot, then freezing. My body was apparently at an unhealthy heat according to Tony. I was working a lot on finding Leo. Where, how, who, when. That sort of thing takes a while to figure out. Peter had come to see me once; brought me the books I was reading before. All the avengers take turns visiting me and making sure I'm okay. I didn't seem to understand why they were so worried or caring about me. I barely knew them. besides these people don't trust me with anything.

Speaking of distrust, they're all here now and I need to ask them about some classified information. I was drumming my fingers on my leg, sitting on the bed against the front.

"Is it that fair?" Asked Clint. I had zoned out the conversation, so this was confusing. "I thought it would be darker than that."

"Yes Clint, it's that fair toned," Natasha replied with a tired sigh. "Bruce explained these ages ago."

"Well sorry, I can't contact him," Clint mutters. I arch a brow.

"That's because of his mission, right?" I intersect. They all stare at me nervously except Natasha and Clint who are spies. "He's doing that spy placement trip which means no communication."

"How would you know – wah?" Tony baffles. Wanda smacks his head lightly while the others give him glares.

"Just because I'm unwell doesn't mean I'm an idiot," I mumble to them. They just stare in silence for a moment. I get an idea. If I have Piper's charm speak then I can convince them to give me the answers, right? I turn to them. "What mess is SHIELD in?" I ask with a charming hint to it. Determination struck my voice.

"There's a new threat," Steve revealed. "Fury mentioned the name Downtown." Of course. It had to be him. I think of something else to ask.

"What happened to Nick?" I say in the same compelling tone as before.

"He's MIA. Has been for a few days since an incident involving a possible spy communicating with the same alias. He's not been caught." Tony answers this time.

"And why did you have to move in?" Thunder rumbles outside but it's not me this time. What's up with Zeus this time?

"Fury called me saying it had to be done until the threat is dealt with. Bruce is on a mission and we can't get him back here too soon." Steve informs. Lightning strikes outside and the team seem to regain themselves suddenly. "Why did I say that?" he whispers to himself. They look at each other questioningly. The storm had no rain, but thunder roared outside. The team gathered up to see what was happening. I got up from my bed, but the others were too distracted with what was outside to notice. I snuck out the lab and to the Avenger's floor.

When I got there, I was greeted by a dreadful surprise. He glared at me with the first sight of each other.

"Thor Odin son." I snarled. The lift dinged and out came many friends.

"Thor calm down. He's a friend." Steve tried to reason with. Thor laughed boomingly, keeping his unkind stare at me.

"To you maybe." He growls, hammer aimed at my chest. "To me, he's most certainly not."

"Is that so?" I taunt. "Still sour when you couldn't find out how I got him out?" He throws a punch which I didn't anticipate. It stung on my jaw, leaving a bruise instantly but I stood my ground. I swept his legs to which he only stumbled and dropped his hammer.

"Percy get back!" I hear Clint shout. I didn't listen.

"I'm not the sour one these days." Thor shoots back. "I heard you had a little mishap yesterday." He chuckled lightly.

"Don't know what you mean." I lie, knowing he's referring to my storm. I duck a blow from his fist.

"Your p – "

I catch his arm with a tight and fierce grip. "Watch your words." My voice is strong, full of leadership. The room goes silent as the avengers watch in confusion and worry. "You are oathbound to this day, remember?" Thor growls and pulls himself free and grabs his hammer.

"Thor, don't!" Wanda shouts but he didn't seem to hear over the crackle of electricity. It hits me at full blast to the chest, but I feel only a slight sting and aching.

"How?" someone says as I stand, a strong glare across my face. I will the hammer to my hand and hear the collective gasps fill the room.

"That's enough. You know what you did." I bark. He glances at the others for a moment nervously. "You are the reason he attacked New York!"

"What's he talking about?" Tony asks but gets ignored.

"And you know where he is!" Thor yells back. "The loyal half – "

"Thor!" I say warningly calm. "That's enough. You know – "

"Right, break this up!" Steve shouts. Arms pull me back, making me drop the hammer. Thor's protests go further away by Wanda, Clint and Tony. Steve and Natasha pull me into my room and shut the door.

"What the fuck was that?" Natasha says as soon as we get in. I glare at her, try and get out but Steve holds me back.

"You need to calm down." He warns. I punch him but Natasha gets me and pushes me away from the door. "Nat ..." She pulls something out of her pocket. a syringe. I back up instantly.

"No, I'm calm!" I shout. Steve grabs me. "Don't you dare." It goes in and the liquid travels into my bloodstream. I fall limply, trying to stay awake. "I hate you." my voice had become weaker a sob at the back of my throat, but they hear it.

And this is called broken trust, ladies and gentlemen, species of all kinds.

I know you guys have been begging for chapters but I have a bad memory and easily forget. Don't worry, I'm still alive I just have to focus on revising nowadays.

Christmas music is my worst enemy. I despise it with all I have but I don't mind the funny Christmas movies like Home Alone, Nativity and things like that.

I break up from school on the 18th and I'm going to see Last Christmas after school with my sister. I've got a week full of anxiety and might not do next week tbh because I can't cope when it's this time of the year, especially at school. Don't want any more panic attacks thanks very much.

Anywho, buh-bye!
