I kept walking back and forth outside of Daddy's office because I was not ready to face him. Walking back and forth helped to calm me down and clear my mind. I took one long breath in through the open nostril, for about five seconds then I breathe out slowly. "You can do it, Amanda." I talked to myself.

I knocked the door to let him know my presence. The door was closed tightly because he didn't want to be interrupted when he was doing his work. For him, his home office was the only place for him to be alone and did whatever things that he wanted to do.

"Daddy, may I come in?" I asked for his permission before I came into his office. Whoever wants to enter his office, they need to seek his permission before they came in. I felt a little shaky and nervous at the same time. Whenever I get nervous, my hand will start sweating like crazy.

"Come in." He answered from the opposite side of the door. I popped my head in and looked around his modern home office. Jenny wasn't in the office so it was just the only two of us. The office had a massive space for the CEO of the famous interior design magazine company, Home & Decor magazine. There's an iMac and usually a cup of coffee on the black modern desk of his office. On the right side of the table was a pool view window with beautiful scenery. A built in TV on top of the fireplace was on the left side of the table. A modern bookshelf was placed behind of his black leather armchair. When I came into his office, I walked slowly towards him, eyeing the white chair that was in front of his desk.

"Sit down, Amanda." I screeched the white chair on the right side of the desk and sat down on the chair. He gave me a glare before looking back at his iMac and continued doing his work. I sat there silently and looked down at my feet. After a minute later, he stopped typing and turned his gaze on me. I was too scared to look at his eyes but I overcome my fear and looked back at him.

My heart felt like it will jump out of my chest in anytime. "Do you know what are we going to talk about? His question breaks the silence in the office. I just nodded and looked straight into his blue eyes.

"As an adult, what will you do about this?" My eyes widened and I gulped my anxious saliva. He asked me a simple question but I didn't know how to answer it. My dad had many experiences on how to handle this kind of problems because he was a Human Resource manager before. I rolled my eyes while figuring out my sentences.

I gathered my strength and answered his question with full of confident. "I cannot simply run from my mistakes but I need to solve it." I paused. "Solve it with a right method." I said whatever words that appeared in my brain.

He rolled his eyes and looked around his office then he looked back down on me."Okay. I want to hear the story from you. Tell me what was really happened on that day." He looked interested in knowing more about my story. My daddy always listened to people's explanations first. He will treat both parties fairly by hearing to their explanations. He won't simply judge people and made a random decision.

"Tha-that's how the story wa-was, daddy."I put down my head as I said my last words. I used both of my hands to wipe my tears because I couldn't stop my tears from falling down. Daddy quickly screeched his armchair and came near me.

As I turned my head towards Daddy, he bent down on his knees to met my eye level. Daddy lifted my chin up as he reached out the other hand and wiped away my tears. "I'm sorry sweetie. Sorry for letting you endure all this pain." Daddy's pair of eyes was felt with guilty and his dismayed tone brought a guilty expression to his face. Another one fell and he wrapped his arm around me. I let my tears and snots wet the front of his T-shirt.

I pulled away Daddy's arms and took one long deep breath for about 5 seconds. When I breathe out slowly, I felt a burden was lifted off my shoulders. I smiled shyly and daddy said, "your smile reminds me of your mother." I sighed and covered my face with my hands.
