Everyone stoped talking. It was dead silent. You could hear everything around you without using enhanced hearing

The tension in the air was killing me. And I guess I wasn't the only one feeling this way

I haven't been around packs for a long time but I know that alphas don't usually leave their busy schedule for unimportant things

You can't say I'm not an important matter but I'm still impressed that he'd come with not that many details

As soon as he stepped into the forest I felt his presence. His paws hit the ground with so much determination. You could practically feel his anger from miles away

As he was making his way closer and closer to us the pack members started to whimper. The mere fact that their alpha was irritated with them made them fidget

Although the displeasure scent was radiating in waves from him and was making the other wolves scared, another smell hit me so hard that I felt like I'd faint

A minty smell combined with a woody one and on top of that some citrus hints made my head spin. It was the best smell I have ever sensed

My wolf who was in control at the moment nearly jumped out from our hideout but I managed to keep her back

A single word rang through my head "Mate"

A low growl breaks my trancelike state and I focus again on what was happening. I slowly crawl onto the rock, that somehow hid my big wolf body, to take a peek at the people who intrigued me

My eyes dart from terrified person to another terrified person until my eyes land on him. The most handsome man I have ever seen in my life

His piercings golden eyes were shooting daggers into his gamma. It was clear that his alter ego was trying to get out, but only his eyes were now the wolf's

The look he was wearing made everyone shake involuntary. The wind that was blowing made his wavy hair messy. The dark brown color of it only gave him an even more mysterious aura

"Why did Andrew mind linked me, saying that you bowed to a rogue?" His voice boomed through the whole forest. So powerful yet a serenade to my ears

The gamma with a shaky voice says not even looking at my mate "Alpha, you don't know the whole story"

"Then please enlighten me Chase! Tell me the whole story" I think he had way too much light onto him. His bare chest practically glowed. He didn't need any more enlightenment. I stopped joking and continued to concentrate on the scene in front of me

The stuttering Chase barely made a sentence "W-Well y-you see. Umm"

"Stop with the stuttering Chase"
"R-Right. I saw this red wolf on top of a hill and when I looked into her eyes a force made me bow. I'm sorry alpha. You're the only one I'd ever bow to. It wasn't my choice, believe me"

"But she was a rogue wasn't she?" He asks with more pressure now, trying to make Chase crack

"NO! Absolutely not. She was far from a rogue. Her scent was too aromatic for her to be a rogue"

"Then who was she?" The alpha takes a long pause leaving everyone on edge. He was trying to understand who I was when I don't even know the full answer to that question

After what felt like ages he finally said in a low voice "Go back home. I'll take care of it. Are you sure there isn't a pack here?"

All seven persons there were surprised of his answer but quickly recovered "No, there isn't one here, alpha"
