Derek and I left for work in the morning together.

I had most of my meetings in the morning and in the evening I was painting and selling.

I talked to a few "walk ins" and made my first portrait of a man, who wanted to give his boyfriend something special.

My day ended at five and I hopped in my car and drove to Finn's house.

I quickly got out of the car and grabbed the picture that I made eight years ago. I wrapped it up last night so it would all ready for today.

I rang the door bell and waited.

"Who is it?" Finn asked opening the door.

"Hey," I smiled then frowned. He was just in boxers and his hair was a mess.

I thought he had work today.

He looked shocked to see me. "Hey, what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to give-"

"Finny, who's at the door?" a female voice said.

I stood there shocked.

A woman walked to the door wearing Finn's white shirt.

Oh hell no!

"Alex this is Kate, Kate this is Alex,"

"Hi," we said awkwardly.

"Um, here, you can open it later," I said forcing a smile.

"Thanks, see you later," he said.

"Bye," I said walking away quickly.

I headed back home.

He moved on.

He forgot about me.

I open the front door and dropped my things by the front door. I stormed into the kitchen got out the mixing blow.

*Finn's Point Of View*

"So, was that was same Alex who painted you the picture that's hanging in your room?"

"Yeah," I said smiling over at her.

"Old girlfriend,"

"No, old love,"

"Oh," she said. "Didn't know you had a heart,"

I laughed. "Well, I do," I said putting down Alex's gift and kissed her.

She smiled. "Let's take this somewhere else," she said walking upstairs.

I smiled and followed her.

*Alex's Point Of View*

"Hey...babe?" Derek asked walking in. "Who's ass am I kicking?" he asked.

I sighed. "Finn found himself a girl,"

"And your pissed why?"

"I don't know. I didn't think he was over me,"

"Well, love, he did,"

"Yeah. Let's go for a run," I said running upstairs.

Derek followed me and we got changed quickly ran out the door.

*Finn's Point OF View*

I quickly got out of the shower and got dressed.

Kate was still in there getting dressed.

I opened Alex's present.

No way?

How?

She remembered?

There was the amazing painting she painted, eight years ago.

I placed it on my bed and sighed.

I messed up again.

Nice going Finn.

Kate got out of the bathroom and kissed me. "Is that the gift she gave you?" she asked.

"Yeah,"

"You too aren't..."

"No, we're over,"

"Good," she smiled and headed down stairs.

Kate was nothing like Alex, I thought as I followed her. How could I ever replace Alex?

*Alexandra's Point Of View*

Derek and I took quick separate showers and got ready for our family dinner. It was my family plus the twins, Kelly and Keith.

My mom would want us to wear something fancy but we chose to wear jeans and a nice top.

I drove Derek's car to my parent's house and we walked right in.

"Hey," we said smiling.

"Alex, Derek, come in," my mom said rushing over to us.

She hugged Derek and they kissed each other's cheek.

"Alex, I see you managed to disobey me again," she said squeezing me tightly.

"I don't live here anymore mother," I said giving her a fake smiled.

She gave me one back. "I'm still your mother,"

"And I'm an adult," I said walking passed her to my dad and my future in laws.

I gave them hugs and kisses, then sat down to talk.

Kelly and Keith were quite, as always, while the rest of us talked.

Dinner was ready shortly after and we finished our conversation at the table.

******

Three hours later I drove Derek and I home.

As I pulled into the drive way I realized that Finn was there.

I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"Be nice," Derek said.

I nodded my head unwillingly and got out of the car.

"Hey," Derek said and Finn nodded his head.

"Where's your girlfriend?" I asked rudely.

"Home,"

"Yours or hers?" I asked as Derek walked inside.

Derek gave me a quick warning look before heading inside. Finn ran his hand through his hair and sighed.

"I don't want to fight. I just wanted to thank you for the painting I love it,"

I wanted to smile but I didn't. "Whatever,"

"I remember the day you painted it. We were hanging out in your room. I remember how focused you were, how beautiful you were. I miss our paint wars,"

"Purple," I said randomly.

Finn laughed. "Red on my lips and blue on yours,"

"I had red lips you had blue," I said.

"You can't seriously be mad at me. It's been eight gosh damn years, Alex. You're getting married in a few months. I can't keep waiting for you,"

We stood there for a while in an awkward silence.

I hate it when he's right.

I walked passed him and inside the cool house.
