The book Paper Towns is about an average boy who is lured into chasing the girl of his dreams. But really, it’s about overcoming your fears, Quieten Jacobson's fear is Margo. He thinks she’s perfect in every shape and form, but he soon comes to realize that everyone has their flaws, anything can be beautiful on the outside but it’s what’s on the inside is what really matters. Like how Margo describes Orlando; Just a Paper Town, maybe beautiful from the outside but on the inside it’s just as beaten up and run down as any person could possibly be.

Tears I’ve wasted on you.

My heart always aching more,

With anything you do.

I’ve really tried, what for?

Now my showers are always cold,

Reminds me of crying in the rain.

My heart in half, creased at the fold;

The side effects? A lingering pain

Gone back to your rightful owner.

I thought diamonds are forever,

I’m in need of a heart donor.

Always, really means never.

Down is the only way to fall,

All those salty tears I've tasted,

Why do I even care at all?

A good heart has been wasted.

You don’t know that I need you.

It’s only when you’re near me.

Do you ever think about me too?

Suddenly, I don’t seem so crazy.

I’m referred to be seen by the doctor,

Suffering from a broken heart;

I guess I’m a good actor,

Forgetting you is a good start.

Half my world fell apart.

With the light on, I can’t sleep.

I got in the way of cupid’s dart,

Shattered pieces collect in a heap.

You played a nice little skit.

I guess that makes me the clown,

You were always fake, I knew it.

Falling apart like paper towns.
