Chapter 155: Resolute Decision

[Holvart Port Town]

As the night goes deeper and the illumination of the moon hits the port town, the once lively atmosphere of the port town suddenly got even more livelier as the central town lit it's lights even brighter into the night

During the night pub's, tavern, brothels, auction house, and market are booming in business as people from different places and destination gathers into the prospering town into the night

Contrary to the lovely atmosphere of the central part of the town, the residence area however differ in situation as people who wanted to rest stayed inside their homes, and people who wanted to spend their time with their family

Along houses facing the sea, a small one story house can be seen as quite and serene as the light flickers inside the rooms

Due to some circumstances, most of the group rented a room near their location, thus forming two groups

The first one consist of Kaido, Sui, Melfina, Ingrid, Sarah. While the other consist of Luke, Lily, Rebecca, Okou, Zia, Pablo, Anna

As Kaido held the flickering lamp in his hand, he quietly tuckered Sui in for the night as he accompanies her until she fell asleep on her own accord

After placing a blanket over her body and carrassing her face, he slightly observe her as he watched her peacefully breathing while at the same time murmuring during her sleep calling out his name

After lightly scrubbing her forehead, Kaido soon stood up and headed out as he closed the door of her and taking a last look at her

After leaving the lamp inside Sui's room, Kaido slowly trudge the small hallway as he walked carefully along the living room

Due to circumstances his eyes were very much likely felt like glowing a he peaks into the darkness due to it's redness

Soon he pulled a door open from a place inside the house and went out side it's backyard

On it's backyard a long line of string could be seen as it serves as a place where they hanged their laundry, on the far edge lays a tree and a huge rock which also connected to a small pond near it

When he took a look he could clearly see the reflection of the moon and the stars so beautifully that it's quite uncommon to be seen in his previous world due to industrialization

In a world where there is less pollution, even a scenery like this is precious

Apparently if he could he would want to slightly live in a world where there is no problem and live his life, unfortunately that couldn't happen that easily as this world like other world's follow one rule and that is survival of the fittest

Since this world is on a brink of an all out war, Kaido couldn't help but view this town in just a few months or years to be in pure chaos and destruction, nevertheless such situations was out of his control, as long as no one target his own property he wouldn't even dare to bulge after all he can't afford to get attention now due to the Empire's meddling

As soon as he took a sit and admire the sky, a footsteps could be heard as a figure of a female body slowly and gently approached him

When he turned back and saw the person, he realized that the person who approached him was actually Sui's mother Selery who seemed to have regained some of her vitality due to sleeping and was now looking at him with a hint of longing

Soon she started to speak

"I... . . I'm sorry about this morning, I... . . I was taken in by the mood and longing that I... . . "
