I fucked up big time

I knew this immediately I saw her eyes gloss over in my car

Fuck!

I was just so fucking angry when I saw her with another guy that wasn't me and I took my anger out in her

I knew it wasn't her fault because she did know how I felt yet but I felt like destroying everything in my part after I saw her and that man together

All weekend she didn't pick my phone calls or reply my text but I was very determined to make things right

And so I came to work today with that determination but it died after I saw her give me a glare before looking away

However as I passed by her desk, she still joined Justin to greet me respectfully

Immediately got into my office I began debating whether to call her in and apologized or not too..

I kept on debating with myself most of the day and ended up not being able to focus on work at all.

So I decided to go see her by her desk but when I got out, I remembered Justin now shared the desk with her.

Justin immediately stood upon seeing me, "do you need something sir?" He asked but my attention was focused on the lady that was currently avoiding me by pretending to be doing her work

I wanted to huff or throw a tantrum like a child so she would at least look at me

"Sir?" Justin said again confused about my silence

"No" I simply said and pretended to go get something from the break room

This happened exactly two more times and by the third time, Justin stopped asking me if I wanted something but Lana continued to ignore my existence

"Ezra, you never told me how your date with Lana went" I heard Elsa say immediately I got close to the break room

She was on the phone with some but it was the mention of Lana's name that caught my attention, so I continued to ease drop

I watched as abs listened to the person on the other end  with a bright smile

"You see, I knew you would like her. Lana is a really nice person. So when next are you taking her out?" she asked who I now knew was the guy from Lana's date yesterday

Whatever he had replied must have really excited Elsa because she squealed happily

"You asked her out today?? I'm so happy for you Ezra. When you guys have kids you better make me their god mother" she said playful

On hearing this, my eyes narrowed at her

I'd like to see him try having kids with my Lana.. fuck, I would like to see him try being with her again

Fuck being professional

Fuck respecting boundaries

Lana was mine and it was time for the whole fucking world to know that

"Aren't you supposed to be working, Miss Lance?" I asked Elsa coldly

She jumped startled and immediately her eyes landed on me, it widened with fire and she immediately ended her call

"I'm sorry sir" she apologized with her voice going several levels higher than normal, before she scurried out of the break room

This time as I passed by Lana's desk I stopped and called her attention

"Miss West?" I said

Her head shot up with a look of surprise that soon turned into a blank look

She must be surprised that I had been the first one to approach her

"Yes Mr Knight?" She replied professional

"Follow me, I have something of importance I would like to speak to you about" I said before turning and walking the short distance to my office and from the click of het heels, I knew she was right behind me

Once I was seated behind my desk, I looked at her

"I just got a call for an impromptu meeting with Sauna publishers for tonight and I would need you to accompany me" I said

Her face immediately morphed into that of panic "please sir, if it's really necessary for an assistant to come along, please can you take Justin instead? I have plans that I can't afford to pull out of last minute " She asked

So that she could go to that ugly twerp??

Hell no

"I absolutely can't take Justin. He hasn't yet mastered how to work with me. Is this plan of yours more important than your job?" I asked sounding meaner than I wanted to

She gave ma defiant look before shaking her head " no sir" she replied with an underlying tone of anger

"Then be ready. We leave after work hours" I informed her

She nodded, "will that be all Mr Knight?" She asked

I obviously had more than enough to say to her, but I swallowed it all until later

"Yes. That would be all" I said dismissively, adjusting my glasses

She immediately marched of my office, closing the door with a small jam

I had obviously lied

There was no meeting whatsoever, I  just created something to take her away from her date tonight

Everything was going to start tonight..

It was officially time to make Lana mine
