I was sitting in his room, or should I say, my room, or our room? Gosh, this feels so weird. You know that tingling feeling in your stomach, like a thousand butterflies dancing inside you. Exactly my point.

Yes, dear readers, I'm officially Mrs. Nirmaan Singh Rathore now. I don't know what to expect. My heart is racing miles per second.

I decided to distract myself from my thoughts and got up, starting to look around the room. I must say, he has impeccable taste. The room was way bigger than my old home's living room, kitchen, and one bedroom combined. With its emerald green and golden color scheme, it gave off a regal feel. I looked around and wondered why it had two doors leading to the washroom. "One door is enough for the bathroom, what's the point of having two?" I thought to myself.

There was a big balcony with recliners and a seating area, and OH MY GOODNESS! A swing! I squealed in excitement, jumping up and down, looking at it. I was swinging myself from left to right, holding my hands in fists under my chin, admiring it. When I heard a clearing of throat.

Which made me freeze, and I turned to see him standing there lazily. His body was leaning on the big window frame, arms crossed, and his left leg crossed in front of his right, with a little smirk on his face. Was it amusement, or was he laughing at my silly antics? "Gosh, Subi, you're so stupid. Who behaves like a child?"

 Who behaves like a child?"

I was so lost in thought that I didn't even realize when he came close to me, towering over me. I looked up into his eyes for a mere second, realizing he was already gazing at me intensely. I quickly turned my head down, suddenly finding the wooden flooring extremely fascinating.

"I didn't know my wife would be so excited for her first night. I would have come earlier," he said in his deep, husky voice, laced with amusement.

My head jerked up with a jolt. "No...I...you...swing...first night..."

He took another step forward, leaving no space between us. "It's not a bad idea, wife, don't you think? In the balcony, on the swing..." He left his sentence hanging, with a smirk on his face.

For a moment, I looked at him with confusion, and then it suddenly hit me what he actually meant.

My eyes went wide like saucers, and my cheeks turned the darkest shade of pink. "No...I mean...you and me..."

Unable to speak, I turned around, closing my eyes in embarrassment.

When a beautiful chuckle made me open my eyes. He came forward, taking my small hands in his big, rough ones, and asked, "Tired?" I just shook my head in denial. Which wasn't entirely a lie. I mean, I was tired, but not much, considering it was 10 pm and it had been a long day with all the rituals.

He raised an eyebrow, not buying my lie. "Just a little." "Do you want to sit outside for a little while?" I nodded my head in agreement.

We both took our seats on the swing, keeping a little distance between us. It was a beautiful night, with stars twinkling in the sky, a rare sight for Delhi on such a night. So why not enjoy it?

"Wife?" I immediately turned my head towards him, hearing the new nickname. My name rolling off his lips felt so beautiful, as if it was meant only for his lips.

"Hmm?" I hummed, waiting for him to continue. "I know it's all so new for you. I know it won't be easy for you to adjust to this new environment. But remember, I'll always be with you. You can always come to me, anytime and for anything you need...okay? You'll have me." My eyes welled up with his words. .

He answered all my unsaid questions, as if he was reading my heart. All my worries went out of the balcony as we were already sitting outside... sorry, bad joke.

I couldn't be more lucky, having such an understanding life partner. A lone tear escaped my eye. When he shifted a little closer and cupped my cheeks in his warm palm. "Hey... kya hua? Did I say something wrong?" I held his hands in mine, keeping them still on my cheeks, "No... and thank you... thank you for understanding."

He gave me a kiss on my forehead. "Andar chalein?" he asked, and we both went inside. We entered, and I suddenly remembered, "Aapke kamre main 2 bathroom kyun hai?" I asked, and he just looked at me, confused.

To clarify, I pointed my finger towards the direction, following my gaze, he also looked and then back to me, and his lips turned upwards, forming a smile which suddenly turned into a chuckle. I was standing there, looking like a dumb.

He shook his head in amusement, still smiling, and took hold of my hand, moving towards the doors. And opened one of the two doors and gestured me to look inside. Slowly moving, I took a peek, and my eyes went wide, and then my face turned crimson, and I bit my tongue. I slowly stood straight, my head down with embarrassment, while fidgeting with my fingers.

It was a Walk-in-Closet. I mentally face-palmed myself. You should have seen it yourself. This is the third time I embarrassed myself in front of him. I groaned internally

"Go change, you must be tired in these clothes. Tumhara saman pehle hi maa ne rakhwa diya hai, m( Mom got your suitcases settle in closet.) I'll change in here."

Without wasting a single second, I ran inside, saving myself from the embarrassment. Shutting myself in, I gave myself a good lecture and then proceeded towards my suitcase to change into something comfortable.

But when I opened it, I was shocked to see what was inside. And that to with the logo that read "SR whispers", aka my new husband's lingering brand. It was a goddamn handkerchief and that to with a ribbon. I was not expecting what I saw in my suitcase. Thankfully, I was alone, or else I would have died of embarrassment.

Knowing very well who would have done this, I made a mental note to give them a nice lesson for this. Keeping it at the bottom of the suitcase, I found a similar palazzo suit that would be perfect to sleep in.

The first thing I did was remove the heavy lehenga skirt and put on my pyjamas. Then, I started removing my jewellery one by one. Finally, it was all out. It felt so amazing and relaxing. Changing my blouse and safely keeping everything in the wardrobe, I came back to the room.

He was sitting on the bed, busy with his phone. I was still standing on my tracks, looking at the king-size bed placed in the middle. How am I going to share a bed with him?

Sensing my dilemma, he took long strides towards me. "Don't worry, I'll stay on my side. Unless..." he dragged.

I looked at him... "unless you want me to..." I took a step back. He chuckled at my reaction and went back to bed on the left side.

Which made me pout. Sighing, I went to the other side and sat there, keeping my dupatta over the bed post. Lying on my side, trying to sleep, as I knew sleep wouldn't be anywhere near.
