So I'm getting back into this book. I don't have any clear ideas on where this is going to go so it's probably going to end up a short story.

Hope you enjoy the long awaited chapter which isn't the best as I'm getting back into this book.

Waking up in a different household was an experience to say the least.

She had automatically woken up around 5 to do the chores like she had to do with her family. But Ares was there, laid by her side on the floor where he had covered them both in lots blankets. He woke up as soon as she stood, he knew her presence was missing even though he had been in deep sleep.
He had simply told her to go back to sleep and for some reason she listened without fear, she didn't fear the consequences with Ares around.

So when it turned 7 and they had to get up, it was a different experience.

Ares left her some of his clothes to change into and went and got ready himself. Then he came back and took her downstairs.

She didn't really know what to expect. She definitely didn't expect this. Usually her parents would beat her whilst her brother and sister would have smug grins then get parents would barely pay attention as her siblings belittled her or worse.

"good morning you two, I'm making waffles so take a seat"  Jess greeted  giving  her twins a smile...no not yet, she wouldn't let herself think they were twins until the DNA came back. It was just Ares and Aria.

Daniel was sat looking through some files.

Xander, Greyson and Jakob were already sat. Greyson and Jake hadn't rushed off and had purposely stayed for breakfast just to see Aria. They knew of their sister and they hoped Aria was their little sister. Especially Grayson, he remembered the most about Aria, the little sister he had but never got to see grow up.

Breakfast as a family was all Jess and Daniel wanted and it pained them everyday however now it was different.

"You can go back and have a lie down after Aria, you need to rest not go to school" Daniel said. He never looked up from the files.

None of his children knew what was in them. They knew better than to snoop through  their fathers stuff and that included glancing over his shoulder whilst he worked.

Daniel was in fact looking at a background check he had done on the couple who had 'raised' aria. There was nothing to bad only the debt they were in.
But being good citizens just meant they hadn't been caught and if anyone was going to make sure they ended up in prison, it would be him.

"But school is important and I'm feeling better today" she tried. She hated missing school. Her parents kept her off sometimes just so they could hit her.

"Really? You're getting the chance to sleep and you want to go to school " Xander added.

"Yeah can I stay off too dad, I can look after her" Ares also added. He didn't want to leave Aria.

Daniel didn't know whether to agree. It would help her but he knew from yesterday, Aria was particularly secretive about her bruises and scars,  at some point they would have to work on her case.

"I think it's best you go to school, Aria will be here when you come home" Daniel said as Jess placed two plates of food in front of both Ares and Aria.
"Here you are kids eat up"

Ares rolled his eyes but didn't say anything.

Suddenly a grin appeared on his face instead of being annoyed he was going to school, he was happy.

"Don't even think about it" Jess warned knowing that grin always came with them bring called into a parent teacher meeting.

"Ares I have more important things to do then clean up after you. Pull any stunts and you'll be in trouble" Daniel warned.

Ares didn't listen.

Aria got to spend the day relaxing, she was uncomfortable with it at first but it became easier once Daniel stopped asking questions and just let her relax. He had to ask the questions as they were related to the case he was building against her 'parents'. Whatever the results were, he would make sure they were in prison for a very long time.

Meanwhile, Xander decided to help his brother out and  pulled Luke out of class for a 'football meeting'. Luke stupidly believed him because he was the captain. Instead Xander led him to the empty locker room. He pinned Luke against the wall "you're a sick excuse for a brother" he punched Luke and then left the locker room, he didn't have a clue that she could be his sister but it pissed him off to see Aria with bruises. He left Luke alone with Ares waiting and emerging from one corner of the room.

"It looked like it's just us"

Luke laughed "you really do have a sick obsession with my sister"

Ares didn't think she was his sister however hearing Luke call her his sister pissed him off.

"You don't deserve to even call her your sister" Ares didn't hesitate to punch him.

Luke tried to hit Ares but Ares was quicker, he blocked the hit and attacked him again.

Overall Luke  managed to hit Ares several times but Ares had him barely conscious.

He gave him one last kick "you're disgusting. I won't allow you anywhere near her again"

"You can't stop me from seeing my sister" his words were slurred yet he still held a sickening grin on his face.

"Then I guess this will become a regular occurrence. I should thank you for these bruises though, you see my brother's are all extremely protective over me, once I go home and they see them, they will be on your back almost as much as me because I am going to make your life hell"

And with that Ares left the locker room, leaving behind a bloody Luke. He didn't  know why his brothers and parents were  super overprotective of him but he had a feeling they would see the bruises and want to sue the family or in his brothers case beat him up.

But after Aria, he knew the entire family was ruined once his father was done with them.

Xander was actually waiting down the corridor and although he wasn't as protective as Ares as the others.... because he didn't know of the twin the family lost.
Once he saw the bruises on his brother, he didn't waste anytime going back in the locker room where a bloody Luke was trying to get up.

"I'd stay down if I was you" and just like that Luke was beaten up further.

Meanwhile, Aria was doing her best to not jump at the slightest noise. It hadn't been long since she heard the front door open and Jessica's voice. It became more clear after a while and she knew her and Daniel were talking down the hallway.

Jessica seemed eager to find the results, Aria was unsure what results but then after Daniel said they would be here in a few days. Jessica changed the topic and it became whispered.

Eventually there was footsteps moving closer. Aria had found comfort on the floor again so when she muttered a small hello when there was a knock on the door, Jessica and Daniel entered looking at her with concern.

"How are you feeling" Daniel asked.

"Better. Can I please go to school tommorow. I've suffered much worse and gone to school"

Jessica and Daniel looked horrified "let's see how you're feeling tommorow" he said.
"In the meantime Aria, since you don't have any of your own clothes here, I brought some home with me" Jessica said.

The closest she had to a child showing any interest in her work was Greyson as a child and that was purely the aspects of running a business, not the actual business itself. After he understood the key principles of running his own business, he then focused more on the legal side getting help from Daniel. Jessica was hoping Aria would love her fashion line.

"You didn't have to" Aria didn't feel she deserved them.

"Nonsense. You need clothes, now come on , let's go have a look through them. I brought home a range of styles so you can pick your favourites" she said smiling.

"I'll leave you both too it" Daniel said and walked off to his office. He had been working at home all day as he didn't want to leave Aria home alone.

The thought of Aria being in a worse condition thrn she currently was angered him to such a extent he called in some more favours to have the DNA test rushed further.
