One thing I can say about this is much more better and gayer than Scream 5. I feel like this movie will be more favourable in the eyes of people who have been fans since Scream 1 or slasher lovers of which I am neither. I just watched Scream 5 and 6 because of the gay and Jenna Ortega(🛐)
Honestly, what surprised me even more than the killer reveals was the fact neither Amber nor Tara were gay because my Tumblr and ao3 feeds had been filled with them before I even watched the films.
I do like the fact that they were adamant about not doing the 'Bury Your Gays' thing because somehow Mindy was alive even after being stabbed at least 10 times but unfortunately with a dead girlfriend. That was also the reason I felt the sapphic arc was very sidelined in the film despite one of the important characters being gay.
Although I did love how ironic the dialogues were as a not-horror fan this was another mediocre film for me, BUT if you love some gore and blood with a sprinkle of gay I say go ahead.
