New: (Entering the room, he takes a moment to survey the spaciousness) Wow, this room is bigger than I expected.

(He places his suitcase on the table and begins unpacking his clothes.)

Tay: (Entering shortly after, noticing New's presence) What are you doing here?

New: (Continuing to unpack) Your mom said I should stay in this room for now.

Tay: (Nodding) Ah, got it. Just make sure not to clutter up the cabinets with your stuff.

New: (Slightly annoyed) Then where should I put my clothes?

Tay: (Pointing) In your suitcase, I guess. It's the most convenient spot.

New: (Irritated) Right, because that's so practical.

Tay: (Ignoring the tone) Well, I'm going to take a shower. You should do the same if you want.

New: (Sighing) Fine. Got it, let's refine the conversation accordingly:

(After Tay finishes his shower, New enters the washroom.)

Tay: (Noticing New's wet hair as he exits the washroom, gazes at him like he's the only thing in the room)

New: (Noticing Tay's intense gaze) What? Is there something on my face?

Tay: (Shaking his head) No, nothing.

(Tay then proceeds to ignore New and lies down on the bed.)

Tay: (As New approaches the bedside) What are you doing here? Don't tell me you plan to sleep in my bed.

New: (Defensive) I don't want to sleep in your bed, but where else can I sleep?

Tay: (Coldly) On the sofa, of course. I told you from the beginning, you don't have any right on me or my belongings. New: (Concerned) I can't sleep on the sofa. I'll get a headache if I do.

Tay: (Skeptical) And why should I care?

New: Fine, never mind. Can I have a pillow and blanket?

Tay: Sure, they're in the cabinet.

New: Thanks.

New goes to the cabinet, gets the pillow and blanket, and settles on the sofa.

New woke up first in the morning, feeling a dull ache in his head from a restless night's sleep on the sofa. Rubbing his temples, he groggily made his way to the washroom to start his morning routine. Despite the headache, he knew he had to prepare for the day ahead.

New came downstairs to the living room, ready to head out for his interview. He noticed that Tay's mom had prepared breakfast for them. Tay's mom greeted New with a warm "Good morning, New. Where are you off to?" New greeted Tay's mom with a cheerful "Good morning, Mom." Then he added, "I have an interview today, but first I need to go back to the apartment."

New's mom suggested, "You can go, but have breakfast first, okay?" New agreed, saying, "Okay, Mom."

Then, Tay's mom added, "New, can you wake Tay up? He also has to go to the company." New agreed, but deep down, he pondered whether Tay would insult him again. He approached Tay's room, observed him for a couple of seconds, and couldn't help but think how peaceful Tay looked while sleeping, contrasting with his annoying demeanor when awake.

New approached Tay and gently said, "Tay, wake up." But Tay didn't stir; instead, he pulled New onto the bed and rested his head on New's lap. In his half-asleep state, Tay mistook New for his mom and pleaded, "Just stay like this for another 5 minutes, please, Mom." Unsure of what to do, New stayed seated on the bed for another 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes, New gently nudged Tay  again, hoping he would wake up. "Tay, it's time to wake up now, It's already been 5 minutes" he said softly. Tay stirred, slowly opening his eyes to find New beside him, his head resting on New's lap. At first, Tay was disoriented, wondering why he was in this peculiar situation. He blinked a few times, trying to make sense of it all.

As Tay regained his senses, his initial confusion turned into a mixture of embarrassment and frustration. "What's going on here? Why are you on my bed, and why is my head on your lap?" he asked, his voice tinged with irritation.

New remained calm, realizing Tay's confusion and agitation. "Sorry, Tay. It seems you fell asleep, and when I tried to wake you up, you pulled me onto the bed, and your head ended up on my lap," New explained, trying to ease the tension.

Tay: "Why did you want to wake me up anyway?"

New explained, "Your mom asked me to wake you up. She said you have to go to the company today." Tay's expression softened as he remembered his obligation. "Oh, right," he muttered, heading to the washroom to freshen up, while New returned downstairs to join Tay's mom in the living room.

As everyone gathered around the breakfast table鈥擳ay, New, Tay's mom, dad, and brother鈥擳ay's mom noticed New's slightly strained expression. With concern in her voice, she asked, "New, dear, do you have a headache?"

New hesitated for a moment, then replied softly, "Just a little."

Tay glanced at New, noticing the discomfort but choosing to remain silent. However, Tay's mom pressed further, "How will you manage the interview with a headache?"

"It's okay, Mom. I'll be fine," New assured her, mustering a smile despite the lingering discomfort.

Tay's mom looked at New with motherly concern, her eyes filled with empathy. "Alright, dear. Just make sure to take care of yourself," she advised gently. With a nod, New agreed, grateful for the understanding. Throughout breakfast, the atmosphere remained warm and familial.

As New mentioned the interviews he had planned for the day, Tay's dad couldn't help but interject, "Interviews? What interviews, New?"

New paused, surprised by Tay's dad's sudden interest, then replied, "Oh, just a couple of big companies."

Tay's dad looked at New thoughtfully, then spoke with a hint of pride in his voice, "You don't need to go for interviews, New. I've seen your potential, and I've also enrolled you in my company as a manager. Tay will take you there."

New's eyes widened in surprise and gratitude at Tay's dad's unexpected offer.

"Dad, you've already done so much for me," New began, feeling overwhelmed by Tay's dad's generosity. "But I don't want to burden you any further."

Tay's dad smiled warmly, placing a reassuring hand on New's shoulder. "Son, if you want to explore other opportunities, they will all accept you with open arms. Don't worry about that. Tay will take you to the company."

New nodded.

After finishing breakfast, Tay and New made their way to the parking lot. Tay gestured towards his car and said, "Hop in."

New, however, had other plans. "I need to go to the apartment first, but it's getting late," he explained.

Tay, feeling a bit irked, responded curtly, "So what do you want me to do about it?"

New, sensing Tay's annoyance, relented, "Never mind, let's just go."
