I woke up to the sound of my Mother voice. "Michelle, It's time to wake

up."

I groaned and moved around under the sheets, finally taking notice

of my sore body, my headache, my running nose, and the fact that

I was burning up.

I heard my Mom's foot steps come closer to my bed and the weight

of her body as she sat down on the edge.

"Michelle are you alright sweetie?"

I felt her hand push away some of my hair from my forehead, and put

the back of her hand against it, then she moved to my cheeks.

"Your burning up Michelle." she said in a worried tone.

I groaned in response.

"Your staying home today. I'll go call the school and let them know. You

stay in bed rest, relax, and sleep. I have to go to work now." She said

and signed, I know she wanted to stay home with me, but she couldn't.

She said bye, finally, and left. I got up and went to my dresser and

pulled on some sweat-pants and a sweat-shirt to break the fever I

had. I went back to my bed and closed my eyes.

I fell asleep again after a few short minutes.

I woke up to the sound of my phone vibrating on my night stand,

and then it stopped. I opened my eyes and blinked a few times to

get them adjusted to the light that was coming in from my blinds.

I felt much better than this morning.

My nose was still a bit runny, and my body was still sore, but my

headache was gone and so was my fever.

I looked at the digital clock on my night stand to see that it read,

12:45p.m.

I sat up in my bed and grabbed my phone to see 4 missed calls.

One from Rikki, one from Derek, and two from Sam. Who just

called a couple of minutes ago. I sighed and called back and

I waited for here to pick up.

"Hey Michel-" I heard her get cut off.

"Get your hands off my phone Rikki." I heard her say and it sounded

like they were wrestling for the phone. I raised and eyebrow

and waited, until their little fight was over.

"Hey Love! Where are you?" Rikki said.

I sighed. "I got sick."
