"Satellite"

Monday, February 23
6:45am

Jillian's breath became rapid and she felt a numbness go through her entire body. She felt paralysed.

"Oh... my... god."

Jillian let out a piercing scream.

She slowly walked to the bed and grabbed the note off the sheets.
She stared at the words written on the paper.

Jesse burst through the room.
"What?! What happened?! Why are you screaming?!"

"HE WAS IN MY ROOM. HE WAS IN MY FUCKING ROOM. HE BROKE INTO MY BEDROOM FROM THE WINDOW. HE WAS IN HERE!" Jillian yelled.

Jillian screamed again and started to become hysterical as tears ran down her cheeks.
She threw the letter at Jesse.

"HE CAME TO MY WINDOW AGAIN AND BROKE INTO MY BEDROOM

"HE CAME TO MY WINDOW AGAIN AND BROKE INTO MY BEDROOM. WHAT IF I WAS IN HERE? WHAT IF HE WAS WAITING FOR ME?!" Jillian cried out.

"Okay, that's it. The police are going to do something about this now." Jesse left and went downstairs.

"Jillian..." Shae put her arms around her and hugged her.

"I'm so scared, Shae," Jillian cried.

"I know you are. Come on I hear Jesse yelling from downstairs."

They both went back downstairs to see Jesse ranting on the phone.

"What the hell are we supposed to do? This is breaking and entering.
No, no one else has a key except my sister, my boyfriend, and myself.
If we had a security system I wouldn't be on the phone with you now.
Yes, they were locked! I don't know how he got in!
Because the letter was left on her bed while my boyfriend and I were asleep, and the window was unlocked afterwards.
Yeah I guess we could get some cameras but this guy apparently wears a mask.
A skull mask.
How am I supposed to know?
Look, can't you take one of the notes and scan for fingerprints?
Yeah, but...
No, we don't recognise the handwriting.
I understand you're in a tough position but so are we. My sister is scared to death. And her boyfriend got assaulted by this guy.
Yes, of course it's the same one.
But can't you...?
But we need more protection.
Fine.
Yeah of course we'll be in touch, if anything horrible happens you're to blame." Jesse hung up the phone.

"UGH!" She let out.

"Did you hear that?" Jesse turned to Shae and Jillian.

They both nodded.

"So, I guess you could pretty much infer what was said. I'm going to get security cameras and set them up before you come home. A whole security system would obviously be a wait," Jesse explained.

"I'm staying at Shae's tonight," Jillian told her.

"Fine. Are you even okay to go to school?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."
