Night mare

Aliyah's POV

I laid on my bed listening to my clock tick. This was frustrating

Time kept moving so slowly

I rolled around, i couldn't sleep

What was the meaning of Ben's reaction

He's definitely not saying something

I've sent multiple messages, I've called, still nothing

I picked up my phone staring at my screen

I stared at Ben's number for longer. It's 2am I'm sure he's asleep

I wondered if calling would be a good idea or not

I would die of anxiety if i don't do anything.

I brushed my thumb on my screen thinking of what to do.

I dialed his number, listening to it ring

I hope he picks up. It rang in my ears, so i took it off, placing it on speaker phone

"Hey" his deep voice filled the silence in my room

For a minute i forgot why i called. Scared to asked the obvious question

"Hey Ben. Did i wake you?" I answered

He was silent at first, i could tell something was up

"Not really, i couldn't sleep" he spoke slowly

"I couldn't sleep either" i breath out

We were both quiet

"Aliyah, there's something i got to tell you"

I stayed quiet. This was my biggest fear

I could literally hear the sound of my heart beat loudly in my ears. Why do i all of a sudden don't want to hear what he has to say

I heard light sniffling in the background

"Aliyah there was an accident"

There was a sharp pang in my chest

My heart kept beating hard and fast I'm definitely sure I'm about to have a panic attack. It felt as if time was frozen

"Accident?" My voice came out barely as a whisper

"Yes" his voice broke

"Ava was badly injured...they performed surgery but she's currently in coma. Dad got hurt too but he'll be fine, we spoke last night, Mom"

He pursed, i could hear sniffling

"Mom didn't make it"

Everything went dead for me

I jumped out of bed without thinking

"I'll be right there" was all i said before hanging up

It was really late but i didn't care

I threw on my hoodie running downstairs to grab my keys

I ran past Derek and Sarah who were cuddled up on the couch. I got outside quickly starting my Car

My mind was in a million different places all at ones
