the class had left to enjoy the recess we ate in silence in the sole company of each other but neither of us was bothered i felt honoured that you decided to put your faith in me as a new person in school it almost made me feel special i have no idea what interest you have in me but for some odd reason i'm inclined to you too it's probably because i know what it's like to be by yourself and i wouldn't want you to be alone maybe it's just the imposter syndrome but i think you could have much better friends than me but i was happy for being your first choice, we were still there the silence was getting too much so out of friendliness i offered you a sandwich and you gladly accepted but i noticed your aversion of tomatoes as you pulled them out before taking a bite i found it oddly sweet how you accepted my offer despite having noticed the tomatoes inside i was sure to take a note for future so when i offer you next time you happily accept it
i felt after a long there was someone with whom i genuinely clicked
