Denial

Random Question in my mind,
Asking myself "Am I not enough?"
I followed all your rules,
Now I look like a fool.

I asked questions directly,
And you answered it honestly.
But I guess it wasn't enough,
I need more evidence, please, my love.

I asked you one more time,
And said "He was just a friend of mine."
I feel deja vu on that phrase,
That's a phrase used of all my exes.

I said "Okay" and I smiled,
But I feel like you're in denial.
I know in myself they're more than friend,
I wan't to clarify so that this doubting will end.
